Twinsie Tuesday : Least Favorite

Good morning! Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is least favorite polish. It's always hard to pick a least favorite because I usually get rid of a polish that I don't like too much. I ended up choosing a polish that doesn't get much love. This is Wet n Wild Broken Hearted;I kept this in my collection mainly because it's in the pink family. It's also work appropriate, so if I'm ever at a job that doesn't let me do "wild and crazy" then I have something to fall back on.

Wet n Wild All Access Beauty polish

Hello everyone, I've been meaning to type up this post since wayyyy last month. I was so excited to get my hands on this LE collection I nearly squealed in Walgreens. I'm sure these swatches have been everywhere, but let's take another look at them. I've got a few favorites of the bunch.

Up first is Coast to Coast, two coats without top coat. This is a pretty blue somewhat reminds me of  Sally Hansen Pacific Blue except it has shimmer. It goes on nice and doesn't take long to dry.

Next, is Trippin on the Boardwalk, two coats without top coat. This is one of my favorites of the bunch. A soft purple that could be categorized as radiant orchid for the Pantone color of the year. It went on sheer and there's still a visible nail line but that doesn't bother me too much.
Beat of a Generation, two coats no topcoat, is the pink of the bunch and definitely my other favorite. It's a jelly-creme and dries super shiny.
A summer collection can't be complete without a coral. This is Love me some Muscles, two coats no top coat. It also went on a little sheer but there isn't a VNL left.
A Venice Day, two coats no top coat, is another jelly-creme that leaves a VNL. On the bright side, it doesn't take too long to dry and has a nice shiny finish.
Contact High, two coats no topcoat, is now in my list of favorite greens. It's bright like a neon, applies sheer but not streaky and dries to a semi-matte jelly finish.
I've used these polishes quite a bunch since I've purchased them and I'm sure I'll be using them even more throughout the summer. Were you able to find this collection? What are your favorites?

Sunday Spam

Hey everyone,  it's officially summer. Surprisingly the weather isn't feeling very summery here. Although when it's hot I'm sure I'll be complaining about how hot it is.

Today I have same random manicures to share.

Twinsie Tuesday: Favorite Indie brand

Hey everyone,  sorry my post is a tad late. I stayed up watching a few episodes of Dexter last night with Boyfriend. Now I'm blogging from my "mother-in-laws" phone before I go to work. (Her camera is better so I've been using it for my nail photos. ) Anyways too much rambling, on to this week's Twinsie post. We're sharing our favorite indie brand.
I don't own many indies, just the 10 you see below. I would say my favorite of the bunch is my newest ones from Ellagee but I shared those last week. I love those glitter Mickey heads. So today I'll share an indie that I haven't used in a while.  It's from former Twinsie, Sarah's Two Birds, One Store. Its called just keep swimming. This was my first indie purchase so it'll always hold a special place in my collection. I just  really wish I would've got a full size of it. I paired it with Wet n Wild Contact High.

On Trend: Oxblood (WnW Haze of Love)

When I heard Oxblood was THE color of the season I dove into my stash to see what I currently own that fits the description. I was searching for a deep wine-red. What I came across was China Glaze VII, China Glaze Velvet Bow and Wet N Wild Haze of Love. Since 11th Gorgeous had Haze of Love on their list, I felt in the loop. Here's what Haze of Love looks like on my nails, I am wearing 3 coats.

WnW Toxic Apple

This was my NOTD for the 2nd season premiere of Once Upon a Time. Meet Toxic Apple from the Pick Your Poison collection. I purchased 4 of the 6 last week for $1.49 each at Walgreens.

Toxic Apple is in the blurple family with red and blue shimmer that I couldn't capture on camera. It looks more navy blue on the nails than it looks purple in the bottle but I still find it pretty. Application was smooth but I needed 2 coats to layer out any balding. As G pointed out in her post, clean up can be a tad difficult if using the brush with acetone method because it causes bleeding (which I tried to hide with my tag).
Brand: Wet n Wild
Collection: Pick Your Poison
Color Name/Number: Toxic Apple (33907)
Finish: shimmer
Number of Coats: 2
Top Coat: yes

Saturday Spam - 2

Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted since Tuesday. I apologize for that but I've sort of been out of it this week. Here's what I've been wearing on my nails this week.
On Monday, I wore Sinful Colors Precious Metal with Confetti Sprinkles on Top over as my accent. I believe this was 2 coats of Precious Metal. I would prefer to layer this over a dark color.

Although I posted a Rainbow Mani for Twinsie Tuesday, I actually wore Wet n Wild Break the Ice with a unamed Claire's glitter as my accent. I then layered Dare to Wear Chi Chi over. My lovely Twinsie, Cordia, surprised me with nail mail on Monday and I couldn't wait to wear my namesake polish
.
On Wednesday, I layered Chi Chi over OPI Pink Friday. Chi Chi is such a delicate sparkle it can be layered over any color to give it a different look. I think I'll be getting plenty of use out of it. :)

I didn't paint my nails til late at night on Thursday but remembered I wanted to enter Jenna's IC Awareness contest so I did a teal mani with an accent of a "daisy". I know, sad attempt at a daisy. I sponged on a bunch of teals for a different look. If anyone is interested in entering Jenna's contest be sure to check out the link. The contest is over tomorrow night at 11:59pm (EST).

On Friday, I wore Sinful Colors Lavender with WnW Blue wants to be a Millionaire. I actually remembered to use my light box that day.

WnW Heatwave and Island Girl Mahalo Dream

I want to start off this post by saying a HUGE thank you to my 70 followers! I never thought I would get over 50. I appreciate all of you and I hope in the near future to be able to do something special to show my appreciation.
It's about that time of year where I wish we were having a heat wave in Wisconsin. Although once the heat actually comes, I'll probably be wishing for cooler weather. Anyways, today I have a fun bright polish to share. Wet n Wild Heatwave, it is a gorgeous coral-red sheer jelly. It is a perfect Spring or Summer color. On my accent nails, I went with Tammi's style wearing the accent color on my two center fingers. I am wearing Island Girl Mahalo Dream (Thanks Mallory!).

Number of Coats: 3

New WnW Shadows

Well new for me Wet n Wild shadows. I was at CVS and saw that they had most of their Wet n Wild products 30% off. Now of course I wanted to go cray-cray and get everything but I just couldn't do that today. Main reason, my boyfriend gave me a limit. (Although if my taxes come in before this sale is over, best believe I will be back).

So I wanted to share what shadows I picked up today.

I dream of Greenie and Golddigger

On the left is WnW Golddigger, then all three shadows from WnW I dream of Greenie.
I chose this trio because of St. Patty's day coming up and the single because I wanted a new gold shadow.

So be sure to check out your CVS to see if they have WnW 30% off. I believe this sale ends on the 10th of March.

Girly-Girl Challenge - Day 1

I decided to participate in yet another nail challenge. This one was created by Lindsey of Neverland Nail Blog. This challenge is all about being a girly-girl and since I'm a total girly-girl, why not? Lindsey designed this challenge to last one month with two challenges per week. Lindsey will be posting on Tuesdays and Thursdays but we can post on whatever day works for us. I think I might be posting on Thursdays and Fridays, but Thursdays for sure. The first theme of this challenge is Think PINK! "Wear your favorite pink polish and nail art" (oops, I forgot the nail art)

Now if I would have followed the "rules" for this week's Pink Wednesday, I could have combined the two but I was excited to use Zeus with the pink shimmer soooo...anyways, here's my nails for day 1 of the Girly-Girl Challenge.

I used Revlon Posh Pink, Spoiled Jewelry Heist and WnW It's all in the Cut.

edited to add my nail art

WnW: Heart's Desire

So today (if this goes up as planned) I am going to my orientation at my new job. I think it is best to play it safe with nail colors until I know what I can and cannot wear. In my past experience if it's safe to wear at Disney, it should be okay to wear anywhere. Today I have WnW Megalast Heart's Desire. I believe this an older design. It's a really pretty neutral color that reminds me of another color but not sure what it was.

What do you wear on your nails when you go to work?

52 Week Challenge - Week 3 - Color Block Mani

I had an idea of what color blocking was. I've wanted to try wearing color blocking in my wardrobe but I never got around to it because I didn't think I could pull it off. Now to incorporate it into a mani, that was going to be somewhat difficult. I was inspired by this picture I found when I searched Google for a color block mani. This is my take on it. I'm not that happy with it but it is worthy of posting.

And with that, I am all caught up with the 1st three weeks of this challenge. I'll post my Plaid Mani later this week.

Check out some of the other participants of this challenge!

WnW Hush Hush vs Essie Marshmallow

(pardon my cuticles - this was taken in between manis)

Part of my Christmas present from Loro was nail polish and as many times as he told me "You always ask for nail polish, I don't know which ones you already have. (Meaning: Don't you have enough?)" he still got me some. I asked for Essie and pointed a few out to "MIL" just in case. When we opened presents he gave a small little package with 2 WnW Megalasts as my joke gift. (one was a double I already had so I gave it to "MIL") The other was Hush Hush. Then he gave me another box and that had my Essie polish in it, one of which was Marshmallow. Later on, I noticed they looked very similar so I did a comparison swatch.
2 coats each (flash)

2 coats each (no flash)

Do you own Hush Hush or Marshmallow?
