Twinsie Tuesday : Least Favorite

Good morning! Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is least favorite polish. It's always hard to pick a least favorite because I usually get rid of a polish that I don't like too much. I ended up choosing a polish that doesn't get much love. This is Wet n Wild Broken Hearted;I kept this in my collection mainly because it's in the pink family. It's also work appropriate, so if I'm ever at a job that doesn't let me do "wild and crazy" then I have something to fall back on.

OMD2 Day 10 - Favorite Polish

Day 10 of the OMD2nail challenge is to pick our favorite polish. This is always such a hard task for me because how can you have just one favorite.

I couldn't narrow it down to one so I chose my top 3 - OPI Chic from ears to tail, China Glaze It's a trapeze and Claire's Candy Shop. I tried to take inspiration from Marta at Chit Chat nails and do a skitlette.

OMD2 Day 31 - Your signature style

Hey everyone, this is the end of the OMD2 challenge, I wanted to post saying I successfully made it through the challenge. Unfortunately towards the end I got weighed down with class, work and my birthday that I missed 5 days of the challenge. I plan to makeup those 5 days before August 4. On Instagram I got every day posted on it's proper day, I just didn't get it posted to my blog. Next year, I'll make a better attempt at that.

However, I did get day 31 done on July 31 (and posted to instagram) so that makes me feel a little better. The last prompt of this challenge was your signature style. My signature style is rather simple as it is just pink and glitter.
I'm wearing China Glaze Float On and United.

Twinsie Tuesday/ OMD2 Day 15 : One Stroke flowers/abstract

Happy Tuesday everyone. I'm really excited about today's post just because I like how it turned out. Originally, I was going to do two separate posts but due to the prompts and time I grouped them together.

Breast Cancer Awareness - Pink Week (pink gradient)

Turns out I had one too many pink manis prepared so I had to pick which I wanted to post. I decided on this sparkly pink gradient.

Breast Cancer Awareness - Pink Week (Rimmel Electric Pink)

Today we'll start off with the fact of the day:
Now on to the polish, this is Rimmel Electric Pink. This is the only Rimmel I own and I've never tested if it actually lasts 10 days but I wouldn't mind scooping up a few more Rimmel polishes given the chance. This is two coats, topped with Finger Paints Twisted. This polish is probably best for jelly sandwiches particularly during the summer months (right Amanda?)

Color Name/Number: Electric Pink/320
Finish: shimmer (shown with flakies)

Breast Cancer Awareness - Pink Week (Sally Hansen Pink Satin)

This is a pink that looks better in the bottle than on the nails but at least the brushstrokes weren't too bad with this chrome metallic. This is Sally Hansen Pink Satin. There were no problems with application and I didn't do any tricks to minimize brushstrokes. I want to say I only used 1 coat but I don't remember. I've read that this is a dupe for butter London Fairy Lights, so that's cool.

Today's fact of the day...

Breast Cancer Awareness - Pink Week (Sinful Colors Bianca)

Today I am revisiting a pink I haven't used (shown) in a while. The first time I showed it here, was shortly after I decided to focus my blog on nail polish in 2011. Only this time I'm using it on its own despite the nail line. Sinful Colors Bianca is a creamy cool tone pink jelly polish, shown here is two coats without a top coat. I've forgot all about this polish but I think I should use it in a jelly sandwich very soon.

Brand: Sinful Colors
Color name: Bianca
Line: Core collection (?)

Breast Cancer Awareness - Pink Week (Twinsie Tuesday)

Hey everyone! This Tuesday, I'm combining Twinise Tuesday with Pink Week. The Twinsie theme is "most hated trend". I try to try each trend at least once (except duck nails or any other weird shaped nail, no way am I trying that) and give each of them their fair chance. So it's a little hard to settle on a hated trend. While trying to incorporate pink into my hated trend, I narrowed it down to a half moon. Then took it a step forward and made it a crackle half moon. Although crackle can be a nice touch at times. My pink is Sinful Colors Cabana and my crackle is OPI Superbass.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day

October 15 is a day to remember babies who were loss too soon either from pregnancy loss or infant death. Some observe the day by lighting candles at 7pm and releasing balloons, butterflies or doves.

A friend of mine invited me to light a candle and release a pink balloon for her little one. Since I'll be working at 7pm, I chose to observe and show my support by painting my nails pink and blue.

Breast Cancer Awareness - Pink Week (Revlon Posh Pink)

Day 2 of Pink Week! Here's the second fact...that's a scary number. Early detection is key. Please do your self exams.

For today's pink polish, I decided to revisit some pinks I haven't used in awhile. This is Revlon Posh Pink. This is a medium toned Barbie pink with a touch of shimmer that gives it a "pearly" look. It's not one of my favorite pinks which is why I topped it with Sally Hansen Strobe Light.

While using Strobe Light I remembered, I've been wanting to compare a few of my pink glitters. Shown below is one coat of each over black: OPI Teenage Dream, Sally Hansen Strobe Light and Sinful Colors Show Stopping. What they all have in common is the hexagonal irrdescent glitters and smaller micro glitters. Teenage Dream is on the thick side, more dense and could be worn on its own with VNL. Strobe Light appears to have some micro square glitters. Show Stopping is the most sparse of the three, this would be best for "melting" a gradient together.

Breast Cancer Awareness - Pink Week! (e.l.f. Bubble gum Pink)

As most people know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Pink is almost everywhere you look in October. And this week, to raise awareness some members of the nail community will be posting pink manicures for a week. We'll also be sharing 7 facts about breast cancer.

My first pink polish of the week is e.l.f Bubble Gum Pink, it's a creme polish that dries slightly matte. I don't remember it being difficult to work with and dry time was nothing to complain about.

52 Week Challenge - week 42 - Pink 4 Breast Cancer Awareness

This week's 52 week challenge is to post a pink manicure for Breast Cancer Awareness. I wear pink A LOT, so I wanted to do something different. I attempted to do a saran wrap mani only problem I don't have saran wrap, I had bubble wrap. I thought any plastic would work, but obviously I was wrong. Regardless, I think this is a pretty combo of pink polishes. I used Sally Hansen Rose Wine and Essie Pink Diamond.

The little pink ribbon is from here.

Nail Mail and NOTD "boy-girl order"

Yesterday I received some nail mail from Jenna! I'm only showing half of what I got because the others will be revealed in an upcoming post.  ;) Thank you so much Jenna! I really like all of them!
Last night I used two of them. That's why I love accent nails, when I don't know which color to choose I just use two polishes! :) No matter what Sasha from Bunheads thinks.

So I decided to use two of my favorite colors pink and (baby) blue. I dubbed this manicure "boy-girl order" because it reminds me of elementary school. When our class was too talkative our teacher would make us walk and sit in boy-girl order. I distinctively remember one year boys out numbering the girls, so the teacher made us sit boy-boy-girl at lunch. I don't think us girls were too fond of it at that age.

The unmarked blue is from Bootie Babe. After checking out the site, I think it's called "Coolio Azulio". I look forward to wearing this under Sinful Colors Cinderella.
The pink is WnW Candy-licious. What a gorgeous pink it is!
Then I pulled out my Revlon Whimsical. It pairs perfectly with my "boy-girl order" manicure.
I forgot to use a top coat last night so I awoke to horrible sheet marks. I topped it off with Dare to Wear Chi Chi to disguise the sheet marks. (Thanks again Cordia!)

June 23 - National PINK day!!

So it was bought to my attention by a fellow pink loving friend on twitter that June 23 was National PINK day! Look here if you don't believe it. Of course, I painted my nails for the occasion and wore a pink outfit. However, do to a task that kept me busy for the good part of the evening I did not get to post it yesterday. Here's what I wore yesterday!
This is a pink base coat by 4 east cosmetics. It was a part of a manicure set I picked up from Dollar Tree. It wasn't a dream to apply as the polish was somewhat clumpy. The first coat apply streaky. It took 3 coats to get good coverage. It's a pretty color but not one of my favorite polishes to work with. I may end up tossing this out or giving it to Loro's niece to play with. It may work better for little fingers.

Twinsie Tuesday - Favorite Polish

Hello polish lovers! It's Tuesday again and that means today is Twinsie Tuesday!!! This week's theme was favorite polish. To be honest, I struggled a little with this because it's so hard to choose just ONE favorite polish. Also I wasn't sure if I should post my actual favorite being that I used it last week. In all fairness, I do use this polish often because it is my favorite. My favorite polish is OPI Pink Friday (thanks Babe!). It's a bubblegum pink with a creme finish. I didn't need more than 2 coats to make it opaque. Then to add a little sparkle to my favorite polish, I added my favorite glitter OPI Teenage Dream (thanks Yuilya!). Looking at this manicure, I think I finally decided what I am going to wear on my nails when I travel to Florida.

Check out my Twinsies to see what their favorite polish is.

Bikini vs Daredevil

These two bottles look exactly the same don't they? That's what I had thought too. I used both at separate times not thinking nothing of it. Then when I went to put Bikini away the other night, I saw Daredevil staring back up at me. I felt that a comparison post was in order.
Bikini is on my index and ring fingers while Daredevil is on my middle and pinky. Daredevil has a slight bluish tint to it while Bikini is straight up hot pink. Both polishes have a bit of shimmer to them. There are subtle differences to both, so it probably isn't necessary to have both. But being the pink fanatic I am, I can justify having both of them. Especially since they aren't that pricy.

pardon my dryness, I swear I didn't think it looked that bad or I would of put more lotion on.
Do you have Daredevil or Bikini? Would you keep both polishes?
