This pictures have been sitting in my to post since December. Whirled Away was a gift, along with two others from my Secret Santa Amanda. This was at the top of my wish list and I'm glad to own it. I don't remember what is under Whirled Away but still worth sharing. I like that in my first picture, my ring finger has a "face" which I was amused with because I did not place the glitters that way. This glitter is hard to work with but I don't mind the extra effort, especially since my black glitter assortment is limited.

Sally Hansen Celb City with China Glaze Pizzaz
Here's a fun mani that I wore back in December. Sally Hansen Celeb City is a stunning silver foil that is opaque in two coats. I have a mini that my boyfriend got in a set for me but I think eventually I will be getting a full sized. Then my accent is China Glaze Pizazz. I wanted Pizazz since I missed out on OPI Rainbow Connection last year.

China Glaze Red Satin
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and Black Friday. I really enjoyed my days off but now it's back to the regular schedule. This is China Glaze Red Satin from the Holiday Joy collection. China Glaze describes it as a "silky blue-based red creme". That's the exact reason I wanted it, because it is a blue-based red. Although I think it is better defined as a crelly. I needed 3 coats to not have a VNL.
Brand: China Glaze
Collection: Holiday Joy
Color Name/Number: Red Satin
Finish: creme (crelly)
Number of Coats: 3
Top Coat: (only in last two pictures)

China Glaze Merry Berry and Glitter All the Way
So I was able to get to Sally's and pick up a few polishes. This is actually a rare occurrence for me because usually I buy my China Glaze polishes online. I was a bit disappointed they didn't have the Cirque de Soleil collection yet but that's to be expected. I did however pick up a few polishes from the Holiday Joy collection. Here's the first two I will be sharing.
I'm wearing 2 coats of Merry Berry with 1 coat of Glitter all the Way as my accent. Merry Berry is of course a berry red creme. In the bottle it seems a bit lighter than Velvet Bow from last year's collection. Glitter all the Way is an exciting multi-color glitter I couldn't resist with red, green, gold and purple glitters.

Pink Wednesday - China Glaze Strawberry Fields
This Wednesday I have China Glaze Strawberry Fields to share. This polish was a birthday gift from the lovely Anna at Going to the Showing. This polish is perfect for summer but I'm sure I'll bring it out when ever I want to stare at that beautiful gold shimmer in the pink glass-fleck/jelly base. On my accent nail, I layered on China Glaze Techno (Thank you Cordia!). I topped everything with NYC topcoat.
And guess what!?! I'm so excited because I reached 100 followers!!! My first giveaway will be coming soon, I got a few items set aside but I need to gather some more. Thank you all so much for reading and commenting!!

Twinsie Tuesday: Non-ring finger accent nail
Hi Polishettes, it's Tuesday again. Welcome to another Twinsie Tuesday!!!! This week's theme is one I've been looking forward to as I love accent nails. The theme is non-ring finger accent mani. The polishes I used today I received from a fellow Twinsie (thank you Brandi!!). These looked so nice together sitting on my desk that I just had to use them for this week's theme. The polishes are China Glaze Atlantis on my accent nail and Sinful Colors Citrine on the rest of my digits.
I'm excited to see my Twinsies non-ring finger accent manis. Especially a certain twinsie who tends to steer clear of glitter. Check them all out :)

Mail Time!!!
Pardon the pictures, they are from my phone because my camera was dead. I got a package in the mail today from the lovely Chelsea.
She found Pinkerbell for me and also sent me an early birthday present.
I couldn't bare waiting a whole month to open the polish, so I opened
it today and it was China Glaze White Cap!! I'm so excited!! Thank you
so much Chelsea!!!
Now for my current nails, it involves a lot of layering. First I had 3 coats of 10 I pinky Promise topped with 1 coat of essie pink-a-boo. I just wanted something soft and neutral for the day. Then once I got my package in the mail, I wanted to play but didn't know what to do. I ended up sponging on essie lilacism and OPI planks a lot and waited for it to dry. Then I added 1 coat of White Cap. I can't stop staring at it. My nails might be a distraction at work for me tomorrow. hehe

ASBMF - Glitter Tips
Another post for ASBMF challenge and the theme for this one is Glitter tips. I used China Glaze Ray-diant because it has a shift from yellow to green. I'm really loving the look of glitter tips and I'm surprised I don't do them more often.
Next I added one layer of Essie as gold as it gets. It gives a deeper gold tint to the green. Can you believe that I was able to do this manicure on BOTH hands. Usually my more advanced nail looks are only done to my left hand.
My base color is Sally Hansen Resolution. Resolution is a green metallic with subtle gold shimmer.

On Wednesdays we wear Pink! - glitter and in the spotlight pink
Not much to say about this week's Pink Wednesday. I wanted something that will dry quick since I planned to go to bed soon after. I used China Glaze Full Spectrum and Island Girl Island Color. When that was dry, I added to coats of OPI In the spotlight pink.

Blue and Sequins
Would the average person be able to look at these blue nails and tell that there is two different polishes?
Well maybe not the average person, but a self-proclaimed nail polish lover might be able to spot the slight difference. I put emphasis on the might because when I purchased one of the two, I did not remember having a similar polish. I am wearing Sinful Colors Ciao Bella on my index and pinky (and thumb) on my other two fingers I am wearing China Glaze Blue Years Eve. I got BYE last year courtesy of my "mother-in-law" and picked up CB at the beginning of this month from a Walgreen's I don't go to often. BYE has more finely packed shimmer while CB is a little more spread out shimmer. I used 3 coats of each.
Then I layered on Jordana Glitters Sequins. This was purchased for me by Loro but picked out by his mom. I don't know why it was so difficult to get a clear picture of the glitters.

Twinsie Tuesday - Funky French
Hey lovely readers...it's Tuesday again and that means it's Twinsie Tuesday. This week's theme is Funky French! Go figure, my nail on my ring finger would break right before a French manicure. I had no idea what I wanted to do for this week's theme. I went back and forth several times. I'm not that crafty but here's what I came up with. I started with a base coat of LA Colors then added my French tip using China Glaze Shower Together and the side of a paintbrush.
Then I used my dotting tool and added Sinful Colors Dream on.
Finally, I topped it of with an unnamed Claire's glitter. I think it is from the Precious Metals collection.
I look forward to seeing my Twinsies' Funky French manicures!
Normally Toro is not in the background of my pics but he looked so cute watching me. |
