Twinsie Tuesday : mix and match

Hey everyone! It's Tuesday! This week we're posting a mix match manicure. I wanted a "baby themed " design because I'm hoping baby girl arrives this week.

Twinsie Tuesday: grey and gold

Good morning everyone!! I apologize for missing the last two weeks. I've been prepping for baby girl's arrival and polishing my nails was the last thing on my mind. In fact, before polishing my nails for this post, I hadn't polished my nails since the 9th and even that was non-complex. I hope I can get the next few weeks pre-scheduled.

Anyways, for today's design our prompt is gray and gold. I think these two colors together is a sophisticated combination. Definitely a color combination I should do more often. Today I wanted to go for a layered design. I started with Sinful Colors My Turn and then layered on Sally Hansen ColorFoil Liquid Gold to the middle of my nail. Once that was dry I added another coat of My Turn to the bottom third of my nails. I topped it with a Sinful Colors gold and silver glitter topper.

Twinsie Tuesday : special holiday mani (CYNA Christmas Trees)

Hey everyone! How's everything going?  Even though we are on hiatus, this week the Twinsie ladies are back with a special holiday manicure.

I love holiday manicures but I haven't got a chance to do any this year.  I decided on Christmas trees since that's one of the prompts I missed for the Challenge Your Nail Art 12 days of Christmas challenge I normally participate in.

I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Extreme Wear Pucker Up. Once that was dry I used acrylic paint for my trees and lights on  the trees. I topped it off with a matte top coat.
Be sure to check out the other Twinsies to see what they chose for their holiday manicure.

Late Twinsie Tuesday: favorite food

I had the best idea for this week's Twinsie Tuesday prompt but last weekend I was crazy busy with a food drive and boyfriend's birthday celebration I didn't have time to sit and do a design.  So with A weekly dose of Rainbows prompt or rainbow foods I figured I'd do a 2 in 1 (which ended up being late on blog too). So from index to pinky there is: a pastele (a traditional Puerto Rican dish), corn, bread roll,  pumpkin pie,  turkey and cranberry sauce then shrimp salad.

Twinsie Tuesday : Fall to Winter transition

Hello everyone! It's Tuesday (night) and this week we're posting a seasonal transition manicure. I think usually I do gradients for these type of prompts. But this time I wanted something simple. I started with Essie Parka Perfect and then topped two nails with Sinful Colors Flake Out

Parka Perfect was from Essie's 2013 Winter collection and it's a dusty light blue with a slight shimmer. I chose this color because in the bottle it sort of reminds me of the skies on a nice Fall day. Flake Out is a frosted blue shimmer with light blue hex glitters and large (hard to get) holographic snowflakes. I chose this topper because it just screams FROZEN and winter.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies to see their Fall to Winter transition nails!

Twinsie Tuesday : inspired by your child or pet

Good Morning everyone!! It's time for another Twinsie Tuesday post! This week we're sharing manicures inspired by our child (or a pet, niece/nephew, any special child) in our life. Having a boyfriend with a lot of nieces and nephews and being a teacher assistant, I've come across a lot of little ones that I can't forget. However, for this post I didn't draw inspiration from those children because in January my own little one will be making her debut. I'm so excited and I can't wait to hold her in my arms and spoil her.

I also drew inspiration from my first "baby", my fur-baby Toro. On my index nail I started with Wet n Wild Wear Skinny Jeans once that was dry I added a paw print to represent my baby boy with blue acrylic paint. I finished that nail off with Sinful Colors Prized Plume. My middle finger was simple, Sinful Shine Wisp with two hearts. My other nails started with Sinful Colors Starfish. Then using pink acrylic paint I did a three since the countdown is 3 months until my little one arrives. I finished off my pinky with a layer of Revlon Girly.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies to see their nails inspired by a child or pet

Twinsie Tuesday : favorite movie

First I apologize for my post being late. Second,  happy Tuesday everyone! Today the TT ladies bought you manicures inspired by their favorite movie.  I swear to you that I tried not to do a Disney movie. But I didn't have time for my favorite (non Disney) movie design inspired by 13 going on  30. Somehow my old favorite movie came up, Susie Q, a 1995 Disney original starring Amy Jo Johnson.
I painted my nails pink based on the dress she was wearing at the beginning using . Then on my ring finger, I used Sinful Colors easy going. Once that was dry I attempted to make sneakers. Quick and simple.

Twinsie Tuesday : fall inspired

Good morning everyone! Today's theme is one that I've been discussing with my class, Fall! I did a gradient using Milan I Chocolate Sprinkles and Sinful Colors rich in heart. Then stamped over using a pueen plate and Elf Desert Haze

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies to see their fall manicures.

Twinsie Tuesday : Ruffian

Hello everyone! It's Tuesday again! This week the Twinsies are posting ruffians. Ruffians aren't my favorite to do just because the under color is just barely peeking through. But I guess that's the point of it. Now that I think about it, I could've done something cuter with something peeking but it didn't hit me until now. Maybe another time. As for this week's nails I started with Sinful Colors Burn Rubber and then added China Glaze Glitter Goblin. Over that I added Sinful Colors Inkwell because of all the texture underneath Inkwell, everything looks texturized and I kinda like that.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies to see their Ruffian manicures this week.
