Zoya Myrta with Sinful Colors All About You

Today I have a combo that somewhat resembles China Glaze Riveting from the Hunger Games collection. I am wearing one coat of Zoya Myrta with one coat of Sinful Colors All About You.

I received Zoya Myrta way back in June as part of the Zoya Pinterest Promotion and I'm only wearing it now. Zoya describes Myrta as "warm medium orange coral with a red undertone, gold and silver metallic shimmer, and a foil-like finish." (Zoya, 2012). Although this color was released for Summer, I think it's perfect for Fall as well because it has a warm orange glow. Next time if I wear Myrta alone, I'd probably go with 2 coats because 1 coat leaves a VNL.
Brand: Zoya
Line: Beach & Surf 2012
Color Name/Number: Myrta/ZP623
Finish: metallic micro glitter
Number of Coats: 1 with 1 coat of All About You
Top Coat: no
I picked up Sinful Colors All About You during one of the .99 sales this summer. It's a sheer base with fine warm gold glitters and larger coppery orange glitters. It's a great polish for layering and I can't wait to wear it over other Fall colors.

Terrible picture with flash but I liked how it shows the glow.

Sally Hansen HD Laser and Zoya Opal

This beautiful blue is Sally Hansen HD Laser. Laser is a deep royal blue with purple flecks that gives off a duochrome effect. The purple tint is impossible to capture in pictures but it is fun to stare at.
Keeping up with my flakie theme for the week; I layered one of my birthday polishes from Jenna (thanks girl!!), Zoya Opal over Laser. Wow. That's the only word that describes this combo.

Zoya Zuza

Happy Friday night all!! I was excited to have some nail mail today from Zoya. Earlier this week Zoya had 2000 Zoya Pinterest Trios as a promotional item. This trio was made up of the "most pinned" shades from the Zoya Beach & Surf Collection. I set my alarm on my phone and was anxious to snag a set of these minis.

Tonight I will be sharing the first of three. Meet Zuza. Zoya describes Zuza as "Deep, saturated, oceanic turquoise with gold and silver metallic shimmer and a foil-like finish. A beachy, colorful, foil-like shade with the perfect balance between blue and green" (Zoya, 2012). Zuza applies like frosting on a cake. I really only needed one coat but I added a 2nd thin coat for good measure. I can definitely say that Zuza is my favorite turquoise.

Added 2 new Zoyas to my collection

If you don't follow Zoya's blog, Nouveau Cheap or any other nail blogger (gasp, get on that!), then you missed the announcement that Zoya was having a promo at the beginning of January. That promo was 2 free bottles (excluding the True & Fleck Collection) and all you had to pay was shipping ($6.95).

I got 2 bottles that were on my wish list, Caitlin and Yara.

Swatch/Review:

Brand: Zoya
Original Collection: Intimates
Color Name: Caitlin
Finish: Cream
Number of Coats: 2
Top Coat: no
Caitlin is described on the Zoya site as "smoky purple/medium gray". It was opaque in 2 coats and applies nicely.

Brand: Zoya
Original Collection: Mirrors
Color Name: Yara
Finish: Shimmer (Metallic)
Number of Coats: 2
Top Coat: no
Yara was a color I fell for when seeing Nightly Nails post about it. Yara is an olive green loaded with gold shimmer. It's absolutely beautiful and was also opaque in 2 coats. The Zoya website describes the finish as "metallic" but I would say Yara is a shimmer.

I am so happy with my new Zoyas. I highly suggest following Zoya's blog or Twitter so you can be aware of future promotions.

52 Week Challenge - Week 1 - Make it Sparkle

no flash, under desk lamp
Jenna from I'm still thinking... said to "pull out your best looking glitter, flakie or holo and bring in the New Year with a bang!" Since I'm jumping into this challenge late, I wanted to get started right away. I decided to layer some flakies over my current NOTD, Zoya Yara. Yara is an awesome olive green packed with golden shimmer. The flakie I used was Finger Paints Asylum (3 coats). To top it all off, I used one coat of Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat in Silver.
