Makeup Monday! - Glitter!

It's time for another Makeup Monday! This month's theme is glitter! I don't use color or glitter much on my eyes these days, so I wanted to do something fun!

I must say, I was rather disappointed with the NYX Glitter Cream Palette I used. It's somewhat difficult to work with although that might just be user error. Luckily I had Fantasy Makers Confetti, this was a "life saver".

Here are the shadows I used: from the WnW Pedal Pusher palette,  the two crease colors for my crease and the light highlight color under my brows.


And from the WnW Fauna trio, the eyelid color for my lid.

Before adding the Fantasy Makers Confetti, I used the two purples but as I said, it was tricky to work with.

4th of July - EOTD

 It's fun to get festive with makeup sometimes. Here's my red, white and blue eyeshadow look I did. When I went to the grocery store with my MIL, the cashier said she liked my eyeshadow.

EOTD - LA Colors Sunflower Trio

 Hey all, here's another EOTD. I liked how my eyeshadow turned out this morning so I snapped a pic. Since I don't have a new swatch to share tonight/today I figured I'd post this. It's just as good right??

I also used a brown from my NYX Cocacabana trio. It is my favorite shadow to blend out harsh lines. I've seriously used it for a month straight. If I ever get around to making a favorites video, bet that will make an appearance.

It is seriously too hot. I shouldn't complain, I am from Florida after all and I spent some time 

living in Puerto Rico but here, I just can't stand it. What make worse is there is no breeze. I said all that to say this...I can vouch for ELF primer. My dollar tree eyeshadow stayed on throughout the entire day. I will definitely be purchasing the ELF primer again. Bet on it.

Makeup Monday - Blue

I didn't plan on participating in Makeup Monday but I tweeted her saying I just happened to be wearing blue eyeliner today. She replied back saying that works and asked for a picture. Now I'm sharing my eye look here on my blog.

 The first two pictures in the collage were taken this morning because I planned on posting them eventually. The other two pictures were taken this afternoon. Is it obvious I'm not a morning person?

Random EOTD

This was my eye look for Tuesday, June 12, 2012. I wasn't sure if I would post this or not. Pardon the frizzy hair, this was taken in the evening. I used my elf Natural Eye palette, Sedona Lace blush palette, WnW cream eyeliner and Revlon Grow Luscious mascara.

Bright post for a grey day

Right now it is raining and snowing outside. I needed something a little bright to pick me up today so I did a bright eye look with a bright outfit. To be honest, I was a little weary of posting this for two reasons. One: because the clothes in my closet are mediocre (that's the main reason) and two: not everyone may like these type of posts. While I have opted to post more nail polish my blog originally started off as a beauty blog. I'm so thankful for the 42 followers I have and I hope you all don't leave if I don't always post nail polish. But I will be updating later on today with my NOTD.

Interview NOTD & EOTD

A few weeks ago I posted my NOTD & EOTD for my missed interview. Today, I had a second shot at the interview (and to be honest I think it was a bust). Here's what I wore on my nails and eyes.

On my nails, I wore 10 Creamsicle. Painting my nails, I just wanted a creamsicle and I wished it was scented. It's a gorgeous creamy peachy orange color. This polish is probably better for layering but since I was going to an interview, I wanted a toned down look. I do not think it is possible to get this color opaque without using a base color underneath.

On my eyes, I used Maybelline 24 hr Color tattoo in tough as taupe as a base. Then I used taupe, dark brown and beige from my e.l.f. natural eyes palette.

Pink Wednesday EOTD - 1

Here's another post for you today! My Pink Wednesday eyes, even though I'm just hanging around the house. AS much as I love my nail polish, I miss playing around with my eyeshadow. There isn't much excitement around me, so most of my days are spent at home in front of my computer. I can't let all my pretty shadows go to waste, right?! BTW, as usual I'm not wearing any concealer or foundation.

I don't like posting pictures of my lips, but I thought the color was really pretty so I wanted to share. (Yes, there was some photo editing done around my lips but this is the only photo that was edited.)

For this look I used the top 2 shadows from the Milani Runway Eyes Palette. As a base, I used 24 hour color tattoo in Too Cool. In my crease and outer V, I used the pink from the HIP duo in Brazen (thanks Dollie!) As a base for my highlight under my brow, I used the illuminator from the NYC custom compact with the top milani eyeshadow over it. On my lips I used, Revlon Just Bitten lip stain in Passion with a few dabs of NYC Chiffon over it and completed the lip look with a gloss from a palette I got in Puerto Rico.

fizzled interview NOTD and EOTD

This past Wednesday I was supposed to have an interview. I was super stressed about it because I'm not trying to just get any old retail job but a job in my career field, early childhood education. The night before I started having anxiety about the whole thing and that morning was awful. To make matters worse, when I went to leave for the interview our vehicle would not start. So the interview was a fail and I didn't even get a chance to go. Not wanting my boring interview NOTD and EOTD go to waste, I decided to post pics.

On my nails I wore NYC Bryant Park. This color is a nice neutral color for an interview. When I choose colors appropriate for interview, I think would this fit into the "Disney Look". Since Disney was so picky and "professional" any nail color that might be allowed there, it would be appropriate for an interview.

Bryant Park is a bronzy beige color with slight shimmer. It applied a little streaky. If it wasn't shimmery this would be a good mannequin hands for me.

On my eyes, I'm wearing the "all over lid" color from NYC Union Square palette. In my crease I used a dark brown from my Sedona Lace warm palette. I used the primer from the Union Square palette to prime my lids but I still had creasing. Let it be said these pictures were taken after my tears of frustration. On my lips, I'm wearing Revlon Lip butter in Creme brulee. The eyeliner I used was a ELF liquid eyeliner in brown, not digging it that much.

EOTD - 12/15/11

The Wet n Wild Night Elf palette from last year's holiday collection is my "go-to" holiday palette. I used The Night Elf palette and WnW Creme Brulee when I recorded my Holly Jolly Holiday tag. 

(I think I mentioned it before but) I typically do not wear any foundation, powder or whatnot on my face. I have 1000s of excuses but the main reason is I just don't like messing with it. The above picture is all me and completely unedited. However, the picture below has been edited to clear out blemishes.

And these two were edited just for fun. I like the first one a lot.
