Influenster Spring Fling Vox Box 2014

Hello everyone, I received the Spring Fling VoxBox from Influenster about two weeks ago. I haven't had the chance to test out all products due to timing but I figured it's best to get this up now. So let's see what I got.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara retails at $5.99. The 60s are back in full swing with a thicker, fuller, wide-eyed look, fanned out volume, and no clumps for lashes that are up, out and over the top! I absolutely adore this mascara and it came just in time too, because I was in need of a new mascara. I like the brush and it makes my eyes pop. I don't experience any irritation or flaking. I would definitely consider purchasing this mascara again.


Kiss Everlasting French nails retails at $6.49. The ultimate French manicure that never chips - guaranteed. Rich, white smile line looks like you just left the salon; file to any shape with no tip wear. Available in Flat and Regular arches with Flex-Fit technology to ensure ultra-comfort and a perfect fit! Available at Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, Kmart, Rite-Aid and Target. I haven't tested out this product yet because I've been wanting to play with some new polishes I picked up from Walgreens. As soon as I try them out, I'll make a new post about how they work for me.

Peach Pie Car Freshener from the Labor Day Movie Kate Winslet & Josh Brolin star in Labor Day from Academy Award-nominated director Jason Reitman. Enjoy this sweet treat from Paramount Pictures in honor of the home entertainment release of Labor Day available on Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital HD for $19.99. (Average Retail value is $39.99) I put this car freshener in my car, I thought it would remind me of homemade peach pie but it didn't. I thought I couldn't smell it because my nose was stuffy so I asked my boyfriend how it smells and he couldn't smell it either. It does look cute though.

Plaxtex Sport Fresh Balance retails for $3.99-4.99. Introducing new Playtex Sport Fresh Balance with Odor shield technology. It's designed to neutralize odors for ultimate freshness on and off the field. Combined with a 360 design for Sport level Protection, you can go the distance. Play on. I haven't had the chance to test this product out yet because it's not that time of the month yet.

nivea Skin Firming Hydration Lotion retails $2.49 for 2.5oz and $10.99 for 13.5oz. Get your skin ready for warm weather with NIVEA skin firming hydration lotion. In as little as 2 weeks, you'll see firmer more toned skin. All I can say for sure about this lotion is that it's good for dry skin. I don't necessarily have saggy skin so I'm not sure how accurate I'd be in reporting what it does for toning skin.

Influenster: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure #csmtko

I'm so excited about today's post because I got new polish in the mail from Influenster! I haven't been able to shop for polish for awhile so I'm ecstatic to test out these polishes from Sally Hansen.

Let's take a look at the Complete Salon Manicure polishes I got. All polishes were used without base or top coat.

First up is Jaded. Jaded is a creme that applied a little sheer at first but evened out nicely. This light blue-green will be perfect for Spring. I used 3 coats.

Up next is Red my Lips. This may be a little too early to say but this could be my new favorite red polish! I'm sure I'll be using this plenty with Valentine's inspired posts in the next month. I used 2 coats.

Pat on the black is the last polish for today. This is a dark eggplant purple that appears black in some lights. I used 2 coats. I have other dark vampy colors in my collection but I don't think I own anything like this. I'll be back with a follow-up post to tell how CSM holds up to the claims. As for now I can say that using any of these polishes does save time because I didn't need to use a base coat or top coat. Thank you Influenster for allowing me to test out these polishes.

Last week I received a new Influenster box with a Slim Fast Strawberries n' cream shake. It came with 4 recipe cards with mocktails and cocktails created by Dr. Mixologist. I also got that nifty martini glass. 

The Strawberries n' cream shake on it's own is actually really tasty. I didn't follow any of the recipe cards this time but I did go and by Yoplait Strawberry and Banana fruit smoothie mix and it tasted wonderful. I'm definitely interested in trying out the recipies on the cards.

Influenster Spring VoxBox

It's been awhile since I qualified for an Influenster VoxBox so when I was notified that I would receive the Spring VoxBox I was ecstatic! Only problem was that I was moving from one state to another. Luckily my box made it's way to me in my new state and now I finally got the chance to share what I got.

Tastykake Kandy Bar Kakes, S'mores. This was gone almost as soon as I opened the box. I will be uploading a Youtube video of this. It was really delicious and I'm sure as soon as I see it in stores I will be buying a few boxes. This retails at $4.49 per box and is available in S'mores, Peppermint and Peanut Butter. As you can see in the picture below, my boyfriend tried to keep it away from me so I'm sure he'll want some of his own.

Review: Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy - Influenster

 In my Influenster box I was lucky enough to receive the Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner. I was a little nervous trying out a new product because my hair is so finicky. But I loved this shampoo and conditioner. It left my hair feeling soft and not weighed down or brittle. That was my biggest worry. I thought I would have to use one of my other conditioners afterwards but this was good on its own. I'm interested in seeing if the Clear line has a set specific for curly or colored hair, as that's what I typically look for when buying shampoo and conditioner. Even if there isn't I'll be sure to purchase the Total Care set again.

Influenster Summer Beauty VoxBox

 I was excited to get an email last Wednesday from Influenster to participate in the Summer VoxBox program. Testing out the products for the Love VoxBox was fun, so I was thrilled to have the chance to receive some free stuff again to test out. I received my box on Monday and here's what came inside this time.

 Tampax and Always Radiant collection. The prices vary depending on what product you get.

I've actually already tried this brand and I really like it. Now I get to have a few extras and a cute nifty little purse to carry them in.

 

 Quaker Soft Baked Bar in Banana Nut Bread this retails for $3.29 per package.

This is perfect for a quick snack before I head to work. When I'm in a rush I'll be sure to grab this and test it out.

 Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen in SPF 30. This retails for $8.99 for a 6 oz bottle.

This is a must for summer and you can never have too much sunscreen on hand. It is available in SOF 12, 30 and 50.

 Sally Hansen Nails and Cuticles Hand Creme. This retails for $5.99 for a full size bottle.

This is great for me because I always have to have some type of hand creme or lotion on me and I paint my nails often. The packaging says it offers 24 hours of moisture which lasts through hand washings!!

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color. This product retails for $9.99.

I was most excited about this product!! I cannot wait to test it out.

Influenster - Truvia Brand Challenge Winner

Gillette Venus & Olay Razor Product Review - Influenster Love VoxBox

When I received the Influenster VoxBox at the beginning of March, I was shocked and excited to find this Gillette Venus and Olay Razor inside. I've used Gillette razors before, so I knew this would be a good product.

This is what Influenster had to say about the Gillette Venus & Olay razor. "Gilette Venus & Olay are coming together to deliver a gold standard in shaving with the new Gillette Venus & Olay Razor! Olay Moisture Bars help lock-in moisture to your skin, while Venus' five blades shave you close."

This razor is amazing! The five blades really do give you a close shave and has a nice design so it doesn't slip. I love that this is an all in one product, so it eliminates an extra step in the shower. This left my legs feeling so incredibly smooth and moisturized, I did not need lotion as I typically do. This product retails for $8.99-$10.99 for a refillable razor and one cartridge. The package of 3 replacement cartridges retail for $14.99-$19.49.

While it is an all in one product, the price is a little high for me but if I spot a good deal on this, you can bet that I would snatch it up. This is definitely a product worth trying.

Truvía® natural sweetener Product Review - Influenster Love Vox Box

During the first week of March (March 5 to be exact), I was excited to receive my first Influenster Vox Box! I grabbed my camera and filmed my opening of my Vox Box (with the help of my cameraman, my boyfriend :)) In the upcoming days, I will be posting reviews of the products I have used so far. Which at this point is everything but the Kiss Nail Dress.

Today's review is on Truvia. On the card included in the Love Vox Box, Influenster wrote "Truvia natural sweetener is refreshingly uncomplicated, made from the best tasting part of the Stevia plant. Sprinkle this no-calorie sweetener on your grapefruit. Spoon it in your coffee. It won't end up on your conscience or your thighs!"

I tried Truvia in my Stash Tea and my coffee. I am a girl who loves extra sweet coffee. I was pleasantly surprised that I used two packets in my coffee and I did not have to reach for more. Truvia does not leave an awful aftertaste like some of the other sweeteners on the market (and I have used them all). I had my boyfriend, who will normally only drink sugar and avoid all sweeteners, taste my coffee with the Truvia in it and he said it tastes real.

Although I always resort back to sugar, I plan to use Truvia again. Especially since my "father-in-law" is diabetic, I'm sure we will be purchase Truvia on our own. I will also let my dad, who uses Splenda and Equal, know about Truvia and tell him he should make the switch.
