Twinsie Tuesday: Valentine's Day Inspired Manicure

Hey everyone, welcome to another Twinsie Tuesday! This week our theme is inspired by Valentine's Day. I love hearts but I don't use them in my nail art year round because I want to "save" the idea for Valentine's day. Now when it's time, I don't know what to do. So when someone like me can't make up her mind...do skittles!

Be sure to check out everyone else's Valentines inspired manicures!

Pink Wednesday - February 8

Hey bonitas! Here is my 2nd Pink Wednesday of the month! I am wearing Rimmel Electric Pink. It's definitely electric!!! This is my first time using a Rimmel polish and I'm pretty impressed. It applies so so smoothly and was opaque in 2 coats. This polish has the wide brush that some are not thrilled with. I actually don't mind the wide brush, especially when it makes the application so easy. I cannot speak for how long this polish actually lasts because I plan on taking it off tonight. If you are interested in the wear of this polish, just let me know.
Brand: Rimmel
Line: Lasting Finish Pro
Color/Number: Electric Pink 320
Finish: Shimmer
Number of Coats: 3
Top Coat: (in final picture below)

I then decided to attempt some Valentine's "nail art". I was inspired by these pins 1 and 2 to do an outline nail. Overall, I like how it looks but I think I need a thinner brush for the outline.
The  last step was using a paint brush and Wet n Wild French White Creme to do a heart.

What do you think of the outline? Does it look alright?

Valentine Nails 2

Hey bonitas! I had intended on doing an abundant amount of Valentine's Nails for my blog/readers but I'm not that great at coming up with nail art ideas at the top of my head and most designs I try will be inspired by or re-creates and that may be a little boring or repetitive. Nail art is not my strong point.

First, the base color of my "Valentine's nails". This is Sinful Colors Rich in Heart. RiH is a deep chocolate burgundy and appears black in low lighting. Besides my deformed brush, it applies nicely and was opaque in 2 coats although I did use 3.

Brand: Sinful Colors
Line:  Core?
Color Name: Rich in Heart
Finish: Shimmer
Number of Coats: 3
Top Coat: No

Next up, we have a swatch comparison of NYX Girls Dorothy and Ulta Fashionably Late over RiH. I previously swatched Dorothy before but a great friend of mine sent me Ulta Glitterati Minis and now I have a dupe/back-up of one of my favorite glitters. They are basically an exact match for each other.
Brand: NYX Girls (Index) Ulta (Middle)
Color Name: Dorothy (index) Fashionably Late (middle) over RiH
Finish: Glitter
Number of Coats: 1 over 3 coats RiH
Top Coat: no
See in low lighting, RiH looks black, while in others it looks like a chocolate brown. Below is another attempt at hearts on my nails. For the hearts I used Shades of the Season Red.

Guest Post

Hey everyone! I made my first guest post at I'm Still Thinking

I used Sinful Colors  You Just Wait  and Sally Hansen Honeymoon Red. I like the contrast of these two polishes together. To see all the pictures and the rest of my post, please go check out Jenn's blog.

I was so nervous! How do you think I did for my first guest post?
