OMD2 Day 9 - Jelly

Hey everyone,  Happy Wednesday!  Today's theme is jelly and I wanted to finally try a pond manicure.  I've seen this done by a few bloggers I follow by credit goes to Olive View Fashion. My first design I did is Mickey heads using a dotting tool. Sinful Colors Bianca isn't necessarily a "jelly" but it does apply sheer and is squishy. This is 3 layers of Bianca and Mickey heads.

"Special" Pink Wednesday

Hey everyone,  it's been quite awhile since I've purposely wore a pink polish on a Wednesday.  Today I made sure I had one on because it's the 10th anniversary of Mean Girls. How could I not wear pink today. I was decked out in my favorite color combo, pink and black so I picked the perfect polish to go with my ensemble. I chose smitten ladybird, a pink polish with black glitters. I added a gradient tip on my ring finger using China Glaze make a spectacle.

Breast Cancer Awareness - Pink Week (Sinful Colors Bianca)

Today I am revisiting a pink I haven't used (shown) in a while. The first time I showed it here, was shortly after I decided to focus my blog on nail polish in 2011. Only this time I'm using it on its own despite the nail line. Sinful Colors Bianca is a creamy cool tone pink jelly polish, shown here is two coats without a top coat. I've forgot all about this polish but I think I should use it in a jelly sandwich very soon.

Not the average Pink Wednesday

This week's Pink Wednesday is WnW How I Met Your Magenta with green eggs and ham.
Last week I was reading "Green Eggs and Ham" to one of the kiddos I work with and thinking out loud I said "that would be interesting to do on my nails". Apparently he overheard me, so the next day I worked with him he asked "Where are your green eggs and ham?" So since Wednesday is my last work day this week, I figured why not do green eggs and ham? I hope he gets a kick out of it.

Pink Wednesday: Zoya Kimber and Kleancolor Fuschia Glitter

This is my quick Pink Wednesday post. Finally used my last Zoya mini from the Pinterest Trio from this summer. I topped Kimber with Kleancolor Fuchsia Glitter. Not your typical Fall pink but hey being the pink lover that I am, I'll wear bright pinks anytime of year.

What pinks do you typically wear in the Fall?

Pink Wednesday - November 7, 2012

On this Pink Wednesday, I present a quick collage because it was the easiest way to get my post up in time. I used 3 coats of Milani Raspberry Fusion and and 1 coat Sinful Colors Winter Wonder over as my accent.

Pink Wednesday: Halloween Style

I wanted to have pink nails for the last Wednesday of October, but this year Halloween falls on Wednesday. What to do?! I attempted another Jack Skellington over pink and then my ring finger has a coat of China Glaze Glitter Goblin over SH Pop of Pink.

Pink Wednesday - Gum Drop and Revlon Popular

I'm going to do my best to get a Pink Wednesday up every week this month in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Today I am wearing 2 coats of Gum Drop (from Jenna) with Popular as my accent layered over top.

Pink Wednesday - Sinful Colors Supernova (and current NOTD)

Ah, Wednesday...normally I would be happy because I'd be halfway through my work week but I've got a new schedule and I'm still adjusting. Anyways today I have a pink that's not a typical pink I would wear. This is Sinful Colors Supernova from the Hot Flash Metallics display. Supernova is a pale rose gold and I don't recall having anything else like it in my collection. I read that it possibly compares to Orly Rage but looking at All Lacquered up's swatches, I would say it's different.

I only used two coats and didn't have much problem with brush strokes which makes me very happy. I wore it for one day without top coat and had a few chips. Overall, I'm happy with this polish especially since I got it on sale for 99 cents.

Then today I am wearing Essie Pink Diamond with Zoya Kiki sponged on with OPI Nothin Mousie bout it over. On my accent nail is China Glaze Full Spectrum. I orginally wanted to wear Pink Diamond on its own with Nothin Mousie but it didn't work because I couldn't see the flecks. Even with Kiki the flecks are nearly invisible.

Pink Wednesday - WnW Undercover

This week my Pink Wednesday is featuring a dusty pink from Wet n Wild called Undercover. It's work appropriate and a perfect pink for fall.  I added Revlon Sparkling and Spoiled Jewelry Heist on my accent nail.

Oh and the trend of using glue under glitter polish works wonders for me. I snapped a pic during mid peel. I've yet to try this under a whole glitter mani but I think I will soon.

Pink Wednesday - WnW Pom Pom Kelly

My Pink Wednesday is late. I'm trying to make good use of my neons before summer is officially over so I pulled out WnW Pom Pom Kelly even though I used it recently. For my accent nails, I layered on Nubar Black Polka Dot and OPI Piroutte My Whistle. This combo will have to do until I'm able to get Sticks n' Stones.

Pink Wednesday - Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink

Sally Hansen Bubblegum Pink was one of the 11 polishes my boyfriend got for me on my birthday. It applied streaky in the first coat but leveled out with the second. In the bottle it seems like it has some type of shimmer or frost finish but that doesn't show up on the nail.
Then I used my Nailene French Glitz 2 go in Midnight blue for slight accents. I received this as part of my birthday gift from my "BIL" and wife. I really want to pick up a few more of these pens. It worked so nicely. In past experience I had trouble with these pens but none when I did my nails. The only difficulty was trying to add the glitz.

Pink Wednesday - China Glaze Strawberry Fields

This Wednesday I have China Glaze Strawberry Fields to share. This polish was a birthday gift from the lovely Anna at Going to the Showing. This polish is perfect for summer but I'm sure I'll bring it out when ever I want to stare at that beautiful gold shimmer in the pink glass-fleck/jelly base. On my accent nail, I layered on China Glaze Techno (Thank you Cordia!). I topped everything with NYC topcoat.

And guess what!?! I'm so excited because I reached 100 followers!!! My first giveaway will be coming soon, I got a few items set aside but I need to gather some more. Thank you all so much for reading and commenting!!

On Wednesdays we wear Pink! - glitter and in the spotlight pink

Not much to say about this week's Pink Wednesday. I wanted something that will dry quick since I planned to go to bed soon after. I used China Glaze Full Spectrum and Island Girl Island Color. When that was dry, I added to coats of OPI In the spotlight pink.

On Wednesdays we wear Pink! - Pink Friday and Popular

This week's Pink Wednesday is featuring OPI Pink Friday with one layer of Revlon Popular and two layers of OPI I Juggle...Men. I'm really liking this combo but I'm resisting the urge to add Nubar Black Polka Dot. Popular softens Pink Friday giving it a more pastel look. IJM doesn't stand alone and can barely be seen in this manicure but it still adds a little bit of pizazz to it. There is a picture below with an arrow pointing to where IJM stands out.

And YAY for my Pink Wednesday post getting up on time.

Pink Wednesday - March 21

Last night I painted my nails really late. Normally, I paint my nails late at night anyways but this time I was really tired. I could've waited til after work to paint my nails for Pink Wednesday but that sort of defeats the purpose of Pink Wednesday right? I said all of that to say this...because I was tired and rushed, I think that's why I am not satisfied with today's NOTD.

On my nails, I am wearing China Glaze Full Spectrum from the Prismatic Collection. I saw swatches of this on Scrangie's blog and knew that if I couldn't get all the colors from the collection I had to get this one. Well on my nails, I wasn't as thrilled as I thought I would be. I don't see the pink shift and that makes me sad. It could be because I rushed and only did 2 coats. Of course, I'll be trying it out again later. When I did my skittle nails with these polishes, I was amazed how the light catches each polish, so I think my disappointment with today's NOTD is my fault.
