Twinsie Tuesday : Halloween

This week our theme is Halloween.  I'm not prepared to go full out besides it would just be a repeat of what I've done before. So I decided to settle with orange and some decals again. As a bonus I included my blood drip nails I wore over the weekend.

Hallowe'en 2013: Free for All

Well it's the last day of this nail art challenge. While I don't actually care about the actual day, I like the colors and treats and that's what made this challenge fun. I used Maybelline Dotty which is perfect for this and the ghost ties everything together.

And here's my "fancy" arm candy...lol

NOTD and "FOTN"

This was my actual NOTD for Tuesday. I had to work and had plans to attend this thing at school so I didn't want anything too crazy on my nails. This is the combo, I posted earlier this month over a coat of Sinful Colors Inkwell.

On Sunday night, I played around in my makeup to create a "dead" look. I wasn't sure if I wanted to post it or not but got encouragement from my Twinsies to go ahead. It was a fun look, but I didn't wear it out and don't ever plan to do so. I just wanted to test out my "skills". My base was a foundation that is too light for me. Then I just applied some green and grey shadows all over my face.

Pink Wednesday: Halloween Style

I wanted to have pink nails for the last Wednesday of October, but this year Halloween falls on Wednesday. What to do?! I attempted another Jack Skellington over pink and then my ring finger has a coat of China Glaze Glitter Goblin over SH Pop of Pink.

Twinsie Tuesday: Halloween Nails

I grew up not celebrating Halloween. I still don't technically celebrate Halloween but I like doing nail art and trying out a look or two with makeup. I've done a few Halloween manis already but wasn't sure what else to do. Some more Halloween skittles are the way to go for me.

On my index finger, I attempted Jack Skellington, a candy corn on my middle finger, a vampire that sparkles on my ring finger and bats on a orange & purple gradient. I used CutePolish's tutorial for the bats.

What's your favorite candy?
Looking forward to seeing everyone's Halloween Manicures :)

Pumpkin Nails

I used this tutorial by EasyNailArt1 on YouTube to do these pumpkin nails. Last year I tried to do one pumpkin and failed horribly. This was actually pretty simple. I started with  just one coat for my base color of WnW 9.0.2.1.Orange. Then I did ovals on my finger tips using Sally Hansen Sun Kissed. When that dried I used a thin paint brush and Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice to do the stripes. The leaves were done with WnW Nerd Alert: Screech.
I even managed to do ONE pumpkin on my non-dominant hand.
I didn't realize the pictures weren't very clear until today. Luckily I still had my pumpkins on my nails so I was able to snap a new clearer picture. Unfortunately , I had a break on my index nail.

52 Week Challenge - Week 44 - Halloween Nails

One of my Twinsies, Nory did this awesome mani of Frankenstein and his friends and I just had to recreate it. My white is Sinful Colors Snow Me White, my black is WnW Black Creme and the green is WnW Nerd Alert: Screech.
It was my first time trying to do everyone but Frankenstein. I have another idea for the vampire but I might just save it for next year.

Frankenweenie Nails

My nails are inspired by Tim Burton's Frankenweenie. I thought it would be easy and I think it resembles Sparky but I don't think anyone could guess on their own who is on my nails.

I used OPI Skull & Glossbones for my base color and then WnW Black Creme for the stitches and details on my ring finger.

BOO to you!

I was inspired by this picture to do another Halloween mani. If I ever went to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, I'd definitely wear my nails like this.
I started off with WnW Buffy the Violet Slayer and topped that with Sally Hansen Purple Potion. Then on all fingers but my index, I added Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice. While I waited for that to dry, I used Sally Hansen Sun Kissed to do my pumpkin Mickey head. For the letters, I used WnW Nerd Alert: Screech. For Mickey's eyes and the accent on the letters I used Sally Hansen Sunny Side.

I remembered to use my little light box, these pictures came out the best.

Then when I removed my polish, there was an outline of Mickey.

Bloody Cuticles (Inspired by)

With it being October, I said I wanted to try a few Halloween manicures but without committing to a specific Halloween challenge. Today I have my first Halloween manicure and it's inspired by Top Coat It. She posted an awesome looking French manicure with bloody cuticles and I knew that I had to try it just without the French Manicure. She used China Glaze Velvet Bow, so since I have the same polish I used that as well. My base color is WnW Private Viewing.

For fun I gave my hand a dead look using PicMonkey.

Halloween Mani 2011

I really don't know why I waited the whole month of October to finally do a Halloween inspired Mani. That left me not being able to decide what I wanted to do - so why not put them all together. Right?

The index finger is a purple and orange gradient topped with a black crackle. I really like how it looks and wish I would have did this one earlier. I know I will definitely be doing this next year. My frankie was my first attempt at it, I was so worried it was going to be a jacked up Frankie but it turned out pretty good. My thumb (not shown) also had a candy corn.

All nails but Frankie was topped with one coat of China Glaze Top Coat.
I think was the most polish I ever used in one mani.

What's on your nails for Halloween?
