Twinsie Tuesday - Scented Polish

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! This week the Twinsies are posting manicures using scented nail polish. For a brief minute, I forgot that I even owned scented polish but then I remembered. I guess that shows how often I use it.

I decided to start with 2 coats of Revlon Pink Pineapple then using Revlon China Flower I made flowers. It was looking completely awesome but I didn't take a picture right away...and two of my nails got messed up bad. So I used China Flower on those two nails.

Breast Cancer Awareness - Pink Week (Revlon Posh Pink)

Day 2 of Pink Week! Here's the second fact...that's a scary number. Early detection is key. Please do your self exams.

For today's pink polish, I decided to revisit some pinks I haven't used in awhile. This is Revlon Posh Pink. This is a medium toned Barbie pink with a touch of shimmer that gives it a "pearly" look. It's not one of my favorite pinks which is why I topped it with Sally Hansen Strobe Light.

While using Strobe Light I remembered, I've been wanting to compare a few of my pink glitters. Shown below is one coat of each over black: OPI Teenage Dream, Sally Hansen Strobe Light and Sinful Colors Show Stopping. What they all have in common is the hexagonal irrdescent glitters and smaller micro glitters. Teenage Dream is on the thick side, more dense and could be worn on its own with VNL. Strobe Light appears to have some micro square glitters. Show Stopping is the most sparse of the three, this would be best for "melting" a gradient together.

Revlon Moon Candy Galatic

For my birthday my boyfriend gave me a bunch of polishes (Birthday/July haul coming soon). The first one he handed me was this Revlon Moon Candy in Galatic. It's a navy blue (almost black) creme. It applied opaque in one coat but somehow my polish on my tips got thin. The glitter is iridescent flakes in a sheer jelly light sky blue base. This is the polish that set off my flakie kick again. If these Revlon Moon Candies go on sale, I'll try to pick up a few (well as long as they aren't on sale during August, as this is NO-BUY month for me).

ASBMF - Ladybugs

Hello everyone here is another post for the spring challenge created by Polished Prisms. Today I have ladybugs! I'm one of those girls that never liked any type of bug. But I gotta admit, ladybugs on nails look really cute.
For this manicure, I used Revlon Mon Cherry, Ulta Fashionably Late (thanks Dolly!), WnW Black Creme and a random white (I'm sorry I don't remember which white I used). On my accent fingers, I used one coat of Black Creme, then topped it with 2 coats of Fashionably Late.

China Glaze: Prism and Revlon: Provence

Yes, both of these polishes have been featured on my blog already, although Prism was only on one nail.  But I just can't help it, I was so excited to get the entire Prismatic collection while it was still new. So like I said in my  previous post, I will be featuring my Prismatic polishes in full NOTD instead of just skittles. I hope no one minds.

So as the title states, I am sharing China Glaze Prism and Revlon Provence. Prism is a purple holographic that leans pink (and yellow now that I'm looking at it) and has rainbow glitters throughout. As with all the polishes in the collection, it is a true beauty. When I showed my "MIL" my skittle nails yesterday, she said her favorite of the bunch was this one. Provence is a springy lilac creme. It goes on so smoothly. I don't know if it's because my nails are shorter again but once coat was pretty opaque but I went with two as always.

Girly-Girl Challenge - Day 3

The third day of the Girly-Girl challenge is Delicate and Elegant: "Adorn yourself with a lovely pattern, color or technique" Well I can honestly say I was stumped with what to do for today's challenge. The color choice wasn't a problem. I used Revlon Provence and Sinful Colors Mint Apple. The problem was finding a delicate pattern, I decided to go with a flower and leaves stamper. At first I was going for a light "delicate" stamp with the Mint Apple but it didn't show up, so I stamped over it with China Glaze Holly-Day.

What do you use when you're going for a delicate manicure?

Green Spam!

Hey polish lovers! With St. Patrick's Day a week away, I figured it's time to pull out all of my green polishes to find the perfect shade to wear up until the 17th. I know Jenna will be happy with this post! :)

From left to right: OPI Stranger tides, Sinful Colors Olympia, Revlon Minted, Sally Hansen Lime Lights,
China Glaze For Audrey, Color Club New Bohemian, Sinful Colors Mint Apple and Pure Ice Mint Dream

I think I'm good on greens for awhile. I would say my favorite green out of all of these would be Yara. I haven't used Olympia or Hi-Tech yet so be on the lookout for swatches of those sometime next week. I've seen other bloggers do polish spam posts like this and I really liked those. If you also like these kind of posts and want to see more, let me know.

Girly-Girl Challenge - Day 1

I decided to participate in yet another nail challenge. This one was created by Lindsey of Neverland Nail Blog. This challenge is all about being a girly-girl and since I'm a total girly-girl, why not? Lindsey designed this challenge to last one month with two challenges per week. Lindsey will be posting on Tuesdays and Thursdays but we can post on whatever day works for us. I think I might be posting on Thursdays and Fridays, but Thursdays for sure. The first theme of this challenge is Think PINK! "Wear your favorite pink polish and nail art" (oops, I forgot the nail art)

Now if I would have followed the "rules" for this week's Pink Wednesday, I could have combined the two but I was excited to use Zeus with the pink shimmer soooo...anyways, here's my nails for day 1 of the Girly-Girl Challenge.

I used Revlon Posh Pink, Spoiled Jewelry Heist and WnW It's all in the Cut.

edited to add my nail art

Minty

Hey everyone! My Saturday was a little bit crazy and I really wanted to get a post up today. It's 9:24pm and I just painted my nails (one hand to be exact). So for now, I have one pic ready to share.

I will edit this post later to add more pics and details about what is on my nails. As for now, I am off to spend a little QT with Loro.

Edit: Details were left out yesterday when I posted this. Did anyone take a guess of what was on my nails? This is Revlon Minted with Pure Ice Mint Dream. In my search for looking for a perfect green, I ended up collecting quite a few minty greens and they are the ones I like the best. Looking at my nails just made me want something minty, luckily I had some Mint Chocolate M&M's. This color also reminds me of Tiana's dress from Princess and the Frog.
 Brand: Pure Ice over Revlon
Color Name/Number: Mint Dream over Minted
Finish: Mint Dream (frost) Minted (cream)
Number of Coats: 2 of each
Top Coat: Northern Lights Out the Door
