NCC - travel - want to visit

Everyone has a list of places they'd like to travel; I took my list and turned it into my 3rd nail design for July's NCC theme. The places I'd like to travel to are: Italy, France, Hawaii and Japan. I attempted to do a flag for each of the travel destinations.

NCC - travel - Puerto Rico

The very first place I have ever traveled to by plane was Puerto Rico. I was super nervous to fly. But it wasn't that bad. I've only traveled to PR three times but I would love to go again.

My nail art is inspired by memories of being in Puerto Rico. My thumb is a plane flying over the beach. My index finger represents fritura (fried snacks) that can be found at various stands across the island. My middle finger is a pina colada in a coconut. My favorite nail is my ring finger which is Puerto Rico's flag. Lastly my pinky finger represents la isla (the island).

Twinsie Tuesday : matte and shiny

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday! Today the TT theme is matte and gloss. I'm also due to start this month's NCC theme of travel. I'm quite sure readers who know me know I love to travel to Disney. It's actually a dream to be able to go to every Disney park, but for now I've only been to Disney World.
Since Ive discovered nail art, Mickey heads are a must for my nails while on Disney property. So this would be a design I would wear when traveling to Disney.
I started with OPI The color of Minnie and then used WnW Black Creme on my two middle nails. Once black creme was dry on my middle nails, I added ellagee The Big Cheese. The yellow is acrylic paint.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies to see their matte and shiny manicures.

NCC - Electro

Hey everyone! June is almost over and I'm posting my 3rd NCC hero/villain mani of the month. Today's nails is inspired by Electro from The Amazing Spiderman 2.

I started with WnW Saved by the Blue and then topped it with two coats of Sally Hansen Laser. Once that was dry I added my electricity waves using a mixture of light blue and white acrylic paint. At the end I decided to attempt to dry Electro on my thumbnail.  Least I attempted,  right?

NCC - Incredibles

Hey everyone! I'm here with my second hero mani for Nail Challenge Collaborative.  I chose to do my nails inspired by the Incredibles.  I previously did an Incredibles manicure before so I wanted it to be a bit different this time around.

I started with Sinful Colors Cross my Heart; then I used black acrylic paint to make masks. Next I filled in white dots for eyes and then random eye colors for pupils. Surprisingly, I'm not quite sure if the pupil colors are accurate for each family member I figured it was close enough.

Twinsie Tuesday: shimmer (The FLASH)

Hello everyone!  This Tuesday I'm coming at you with a double theme for TT and NCC.  Twinsie Tuesday's theme is shimmer and Nail Challenge Collaborative is Heroes and Villains.
I used Sinful Colors Hot Hot Heat (a shimmery red), Yellow Spotted (a yellow jelly packed with shimmer) and All About You (gold glitter but looks shimmery over red). The lighting bolts were done with yellow acrylic paint then topped with Yellow Spotted.  The thumbnail was topped with All About You and then I used acrylic paint to write "The Flash".
Be sure to check out the other Twinsies to see their shimmer manicures.

Twinsie Tuesday - Mattify

Happy Tuesday readers! How was your Memorial Day? Summer is right around the corner and I'm excited to be on Summer break.

Today's Twinsie Tuesday prompt is mattify. I chose to mattify my flowers for my 2nd NCC post this month. I started with Wet n Wild Grape minds think alike and then topped it with Sinful Colors Flight to See. Then I used acrylic paint to make flowers.

Check out the other Twinsies and their mattified manicures.

NCC - Recreate - Pawprint Dotticure

Hello out there! While I've only been apart of NCC since July 2014, we are celebrating the 3rd Anniversary of Nail Challenge Collaborative. In honor of the anniversary, we are recreating manicures from other members, today I chose to recreate Zara's pawprint dotticure.

And here's my recreation... I used Wet n Wild Yo Soy and black acrylic paint then topped it with Sally Girl matte nail polish.

Twinsie Tuesday - Pinterest Inspiration (NCC - Fashion 1)

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm kinda got a 2in1 for you all to take a look at today. Twinsie Tuesday's theme for this week is inspired by Pinterest and the theme for Nail Challenge Collaborative is Fashion. I figured why not combine the two?

So I searched Pinterest for some fashion inspired nails and came across this pin that not only (loosely) falls into the fashion theme but is Disney related as well, score! So here's my recreation...

I started with Sinful Colors Endless Blue and Pullover. Once Endless Blue was dry, I topped it with Nanaocco Magic Kingdom. Then on my accent nail, I used Sinful Colors Be My Valentine and some red acrylic paint to make the (too large) bow.

The Nail challenge collaborative presents. .. dots (3)

Hi there! Today I have my 3rd NCC post for the month of December. For this manicure I started with Color Club Otherworldly which I received from my Twinsie Secret Santa. Then on my first two nails, I used China Glaze Icicle and topped it with Sinful Colors Out of this World. Once that was dry, I used a blue acrylic paint, Otherworldly and Sally Hansen Color Foil Purple Alloy to add dots over the silver nails.

Nail Challenge Collaborative : Stripes ( 1 )

I slacked a little, well a lot with blogging last month. I didn't finish the nail challenge collaborative and didn't post much. I'm going to try my best to do better.
This month's challenge theme is stripes. My first design I used Sinful Colors Dream On and Enchanted.  The bar glitter is Salon Perfect Grand Finale. I used striping tape to achieve my lines. I thought it was an interesting combo of colors so I tried to make it work.
