Day 10 of the OMD2nail challenge is to pick our favorite polish. This is always such a hard task for me because how can you have just one favorite.
I couldn't narrow it down to one so I chose my top 3 - OPI Chic from ears to tail, China Glaze It's a trapeze and Claire's Candy Shop. I tried to take inspiration from Marta at Chit Chat nails and do a skitlette.

OMD2 - Day 6: Duochrome
Hey everyone, today's prompt is duochrome. I started with 3 coats of OPI Just spotted the Lizard. Next I added Mickey heads and dots using Sinful Shine Dark Room and finished by adding a touch of Sally Hansen Bronze Ablaze. I was going for a mix of cheetah/leopard spots and Mickey heads but it just looks like dots and Mickey heads. Either way, I like how it turned out.

Sunday Spam - Sinful Colors Mimosa and OMD2
Hey everyone, happy Sunday. Today's nails features a combo of textures. When I first saw Mimosa in the Destination Color display, I just knew I had to do a red accent. Mimosa is a sheer squishy jelly that reminds me of orange juice with metallic red glitters and tiny red bar glitters. Since Mimosa is sheer, I layered it over Cloud 9. My accent is OPI magazine cover mouse.
Also, I'll be participating in OMD2 challenge this year. It was really fun last year challenging myself and I think it'll be great to try it again this year. Sunday, June 22, 2014
Sunday Spam
Hey everyone, it's officially summer. Surprisingly the weather isn't feeling very summery here. Although when it's hot I'm sure I'll be complaining about how hot it is.
Today I have same random manicures to share.

Twinsie Tuesday - Past TT Redo
Hey everyone, hope your Tuesday is going well. I have a feeling mine isn't going to be that good because I'm feeling a little under the weather. Today's theme is to pick a past TT theme that we loved/hated or had to miss and redo it. There's so many I'd love to redo but just didn't have time over the busy weekend and I didn't have the energy to sit down and do something "fancy". So I'm redoing textured nails.
I picked up some OPI Liquid Sand polishes at Marshall's on Saturday night. The first one I tried was Got Your number. It's a pretty cerulean blue sand base with holographic glitters. It's quite pretty and was a hit with a few of the two year-olds in my room.
I look forward to seeing what everyone is redoing and hope we get a chance to visit this particular theme again.

#busygirlnails - Winter nail art challenge - Week 2: White
Hello starrettes! This week the prompt or theme is white. I couldn't figure out what kind of "art" to do just using whites because I wasn't sure how different whites would stand out from one another. So today I'll be sharing a white that I waited forever to get. Funny thing is; now that I own it, I don't want to use it because I want to save it forever. I'm talking about OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. When this came out, I didn't think I need it because "it's just a white". However, after hearing everyone rave over it for a whole year, I ordered it as a treat to myself mid 2013. Now I will never think it's just another white again, I've learned my lesson.
I paired MBSW with Dare to Wear Chi-Chi.
Here's a look at what's to come for the #busygirlnails winter challenge over on Instagram. If you participate be sure to tag the hosts: @beautybyarielle,@fiercemakeupandnails, @mirandasmakeup, @marijonails, and @drinkcitra, using the hashtag #busygirlnails.

Twinise Tuesday - Crackle Polish mani
It's time for another Twinsie Tuesday post! This week our theme is crackle polish. When crackles first came out, I had to get my hands on them but I didn't have easy access to them. Time passed and soon they were available everywhere, by that time I was over it but still wanted a few in my heap of polishes.
My base color is Pure Ice Lilac Mist it's a very sheer pink with shimmer, probably better for layering than as a base color. Then I intended to use 2012 Cherimoya Sanctuary but I remembered I had OPI Superbass Shatter so I opted for Sanctuary as an accent nail like last week. My pinky had the worst outcome.
For the most part, I am still over the crackle trend, but every now I wouldn't mind pulling out the crackles for an accent nail. I have a feeling that some of my Twinsies aren't feeling the crackle on their nails. What's your opinion on crackle polish??
I'm curious to see which of my twinsies were not to fond of their crackle manis. Check them out too!

Sinful Colors I Love You and OPI Nothin' Mousie 'bout It
I think the only reason I bought Sinful Colors I Love You, was because of the name. I know for sure I wore it for my 2 year anniversary with Loro and it matched my outfit. This is a gorgeous purple jelly that has tons of purple glitter. Now it takes some work to build the color up but since my polish has thickened over time, it only took two coats. My pictures aren't doing it justice at all but believe me, it's pretty. Wacky Laki has some good pictures of this polish. The only thing that bothers me about this polish is that when I hold it at a certain angle, I see a flash of green-yellow but that does not portray on the nails.
I added OPI Nothin' Mousie 'bout It because it is my favorite glitter top coat at the moment (with or without the hearts).
Here's a pic I snapped when doing my right hand (in front of the computer) you can barely see the color shift.

Guest Appearance - my sister (OPI Piroutte My Whistle)
Since I live about 1,200 miles away from my sister, I rarely get the chance to do her nails. And even if I did live closer to her, I doubt she would let me paint her nails often since she's iffy about color on her nails. I warned her before I even got on the plane that I would be doing her nails for graduation. I didn't want anything too plain. I decided to take my mini bottle of OPI Piroutte My Whistle. I used 2 coats of PMW and 1 coat of Wet n Wild Wild Shine (clear top coat). I ended up leaving both of those with her since I have the full size of PMW and I have plenty of top coats.
Now I will say it's a little more difficult taking pictures of nails other than my own. At least it is for me. I think part of that is due to the fact that I didn't have my camera I normally take my nail pics with.

I also convinced her to let me do her eye makeup. It was something soft and not really noticeable. I used the soft colors from my NYC Custom Compact for Brown Eyes Union Square. Her mascara and eye liner was from LA Colors (I think).

OPI Just Spotted the Lizard
I have seriously been waiting on this beautiful duochrome for like ever. When I heard OPI was coming out with a dupe for Chanel Peridot, I knew I had to have it. This beauty is prettier than any lizard I have seen with the shift from gold to green. The application is nice too (even for a mini). I eventually want to get a full size of OPI Just Spotted the Lizard but for now my mini will do just fine, well until I use it up that is.

Twinsie Tuesday - Favorite Polish
Hello polish lovers! It's Tuesday again and that means today is Twinsie Tuesday!!! This week's theme was favorite polish. To be honest, I struggled a little with this because it's so hard to choose just ONE favorite polish. Also I wasn't sure if I should post my actual favorite being that I used it last week. In all fairness, I do use this polish often because it is my favorite. My favorite polish is OPI Pink Friday (thanks Babe!). It's a bubblegum pink with a creme finish. I didn't need more than 2 coats to make it opaque. Then to add a little sparkle to my favorite polish, I added my favorite glitter OPI Teenage Dream (thanks Yuilya!). Looking at this manicure, I think I finally decided what I am going to wear on my nails when I travel to Florida.
Check out my Twinsies to see what their favorite polish is.

OPI NYC Ballet Petites
Now I fell for this collection partly because of my love for dance. I'm not big on sheer polishes but I know they are good to have for some work environments. I loved these swatches on other blogs I saw, but on me...eh. If I could just get rid of that ucky yellow tint, I'd be fine. All swatches were done without a basecoat or topcoat and had 3 thin coats. I think next time I would use thicker coats. For Piroutte my Whistle, I did one layer. PMW is my favorite of the whole collection and I already picked up a full size for back up. It is that awesome!

Spring Challenge - April Showers Bring May Flowers (1)
There are a few other challenges that I have been wanting to try. I don't always have the latest collections and I don't receive press information about new releases so I'm often stuck on what to post. That is why I like doing challenges because know I have something to do. Plus, I'm finding other great bloggers and building my nail art skills.
The next challenge I am participating in was created by Polished Prisms and it's great because we can go at our own pace. So here's my first post for this challenge: Spring Pastels.
The polishes I used for my Spring Pastels are (thumb) OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender, Sinful Colors Luminary, Olympia, Unicorn and Essie Lilacism.
So far here is a list of bloggers participating in this challenge:

Ashley from One Nail to Another
Amanda from Mandy's Polish
Sue from Creative Nail Design by Sue
Tess from Football and Fingernails
