Twinsie Tuesday : special Holiday double edition

Hey everyone, the Twinsies are back to bring a special edition double Holiday post. The prompt was to do two manicures, one Christmas and one Hanukkah.

Let's start with my Hanukkah manicure. I started with Salon Perfect Sugar cube on two fingers and China Glaze Blue Years Eve on the other two. Once those two polishes were dry, I added stripes to the white nails using Blue Years Eve, China Glaze Electric Beat and Salon Perfect silver glitter. On my blue nails, I used acrylic paint to make a menorah (well I tried) and Star of David. Then using the silver glitter, I went back and touched up the menorah.

For my Christmas manicure, I started with Sugar Cube on two fingers and Revlon Emerald on my other two fingers. I wanted to do something different so I attempted to do Christmas tree branches on my white nails using acrylic paint and over Emerald I used China Glaze Glitter all the way.

HPB present...Festive Nails

Hobby Polish Bloggers is a Facebook group nail bloggers who blog for fun or casually. Hobby Polish Bloggers offers resources for feedback, support and general conversation with other nail bloggers. This month we're coming together to do a Holiday, festive or winter manicure.

For my manicure, I started with 3 coats of elf Blush which is a champagne gold frost. On my middle finger, I used acrylic paint to make my reindeer. His nose is China Glaze Ring in the Red. My boyfriend told me that this little guy looks like a drunk reindeer. LOL. Then on my ring finger and pinky finger I added my favorite Christmas glitter, China Glaze Party Hearty.

Triple Post! DNAC, OMD and 4th of July nails

Hello all! Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans! Today's post is a triple one because it's what is easiest today. I hope that is okay. I will be showing my manis from the two challenges I'm participating in as well as my notd! Let's get started.

Up first, is the Disney nail art challenge and the theme is Monsters Inc. I've been waiting to do this mani because I knew I wanted to do Mike (WnW nerd alert screech) but not sure what else. I attempted to do the logo (Sinful Colors Grecian Sun) on my index, Mike on my middle finger, Sully's tummy (Sally Hansen Blue me Away and China Glaze Spontaneous) on my ring and Marty (Sally Hansen Sunkissed) on my pinkie.

Up next is OMD challenge, the theme for today is black and white. On my index is Hard Candy Sugar Rush. Then on my other three fingers I started out with a base of Spoiled Correction Tape and then attempted to splatter with a straw using Spoiled Visually Slimming. When that didn't work, I dropped on some white, took clear polish and "marbled" it together. I call it, "splatter marble". Just kidding.

Last is my 4th of July notd. As I said in my TT post for this week, I struggle to find something creative to do because there's so much to do with red, white and blue. I used WnW  Caught Red Handed, Spoiled Correction Tape and Sinful Colors Endless Blue. The glitter on my ring is the franken I used in Tuesday's post.

Twinsie Tuesday: Patriotic Mani

Hi loves! It's Tuesday and that means it's Twinsie Tuesday!!!!! Today's challenge is a patriotic mani. I'm a little excited about this manicure because I liked how it turned out and my boyfriend said it looks "pretty cool".
The base colors are Shades of the Season Blue, WnW I Red a Good book, and Sinful Colors Snow Me White.
Then I tried to get "creative". I did the stars on the blue nail. I only did 10 because there is no way I could fit 50. Then on the red nails, I used Cherimoya 2012 Innocence for the stripes. On my white nail, I started with Jordana Sequins but later added OPI Save Me to give the fireworks effect.

I can't wait to see my Twinsies patriotic manis!

52 Week Challenge - Week 15 - Easter nails

Hey everyone, here's my mani for Easter. I've seen so many great Easter manis from other bloggers I drew inspiration from several that I've seen. So here's what is on my nails, I did an Easter egg on my thumb, a chick in an egg on my index, polka dots on my middle finger, a "speckled" egg on my ring and a bunny on my pinky.

I used SEVERAL polishes for this manicure. On my index and pinky my base color was Cinderella but that was too light so I went over that with one coat of SC Morning Star. The Easter egg was done with SC Luminary and OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender, then I did the lines with SC Mint Apple and Morning Star. The chick was first done with SC Unicorn then I went over that with Let's Meet and I used Luminary for the beak. The shell was done with WnW French White Creme. My middle finger is Lucky Lucky Lavender and then dots with Unicorn. My ring finger is a no named franken I made. My bunny is French White Creme and the ears are OPI Sparrow me the Drama and the nose is Lucky Lucky Lavender. The eyes for the chick and bunny is WnW Black Creme. The grass was done with SC San Fransisco then topped with SH Teeny Greeny Bikini. The whole manicure was topped with a top coat I picked up from a nail supply shop in my area.

I will update later with clearer pictures. I just wanted to be sure this was up before Easter morning.
I'm sure there will be many other great Easter manis from the other bloggers participating in this challenge. Be sure to check them out!

St. Patrick's Day Nails

Here are my st. Patty's day nails. I apologize for not being a good blogger & commenter this week. I've been adjusting to my new schedule and haven't had as much computer (blog) time as I would like. I hope to be back on track real soon. Please don't think I forgot about any of you.

On my nails I am wearing 2 coats of Milani Hi-Tech, 1 coat of SC Irish Green and then 1 coat of Hi-Tech over. I really like how it turned out. Even my clover accents. I submitted this to Nouveau Cheap for the St. Patty's day round up. (AHHH!!! My pic was chosen!!!! I'm so excited! Check out all the pics here.)

My ring finger on my picture hand broke today when I was trying to get my box of summer shoes down. I'm so sad. I'm debating on cutting down all my nails. I got an exciting post for my 52 week challenge tomorrow. If you follow me on twitter, you probably have a clue of what I am going to do. Until then...talk to you later.

52 Week Challenge - Week 11 - St. Patrick's Day Mani

For this NOTD, I drew a little inspiration from this pin. I came across that St. Patty's design browsing through my Google reader. On my index finger, that is supposed to be a hat, I'm not sure it actually looks like a hat. On my middle finger is my spin of Kayla's belt buckle. On my ring finger is a pot of gold. My other two fingers just have dots as "gold coins".

This is an updated list that Jenna posted of everyone still participating in this challenge. If you want me to add your link to the list be sure to let me know. I don't want anyone to feel left out.

Happy Valentine's Day

Technically, I "cheated" my NOTD for Valentine's Day. What can I say, I really liked the mani I did on Sunday for this week's challenge. I did add Sally Hansen Cha-Ching to my ring finger and Sinful Colors Forget Now to my index. Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's!

Loro and I went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse then went to the movies to see The Vow. We finished up our night watching Breaking Dawn Part 1 on DVD :)

Last Holiday Nails of 2011

This is by far my favorite holiday mani I have done so far. I was inspired by cutepolish on YouTube, Nightly Nails and Ihaveacupcake on YouTube. AND guess what?! My Christmas Tree was not done with tape! I kept talking Loro's ear off about this mani because I LOVED how it turned out.

As usual, left hand is just blah but I like the santa hat.

Holiday Nails 2

I really liked how this came out (which is why I snapped so many pics). It kind of reminds me of an elf but I was going for "wrapping paper". Nevertheless, I like it and will probably do something similar next year.

My right hand. (it's never as good as my left)
