Nail Challenge Collaborative - Inspired by a book 4

Here's my last NCC post for the month!! I've been reading mostly children's books for work and with my personal reading I'm halfway through 50 shades Darker. However I didn't want to do my last design based on any of those. I decided to challenge myself and do Mockingjay.  I watched Robin Moses' tutorial and tried to follow along. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I used Sally Hansen CSM blue himalayin and acrylic paint.

Twinsie Tuesday : Mani Orders

Hello everyone!  Happy Tuesday! let's hope I don't forget to publish this week's post on time. This week our theme is mani orders, my order comes from my boyfriend who is also my best friend.  He told me to nails inspired by Playstation. Hmm that seems easy enough.
I knew right away I wanted to use a matte black, so I reached for Sinful Colors Whipped. Then I used Salon Perfect Sugar Cube to plan out the "buttons". The polishes I used for that were: Sally Hansen Celb City, OPI Pink-ing of you, Wet n Wild Rouge 66, SC Endless Blue and Strapped.

Nail Challenge Collaborative : Inspired by a book ( 3 )

My 3rd post for this month's NCC is inspired by a book my niece was reading. It looked interesting enough so I picked it up and read it too. My niece was impressed it took me one night to "read" it but it was in a comic book format. A cute story which made me miss quality time with my sister.
I used Sinful Colors Savage, Salon Perfect Sugar Cube and Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow.

Nail Challenge Collaborative : Inspired by a book ( 2 )

My second manicure for this month's NCC is inspired by the binding of Little Golden books I used to read as a kid. I think I want to start collecting them again so when I have a child they'll have them. They'd also be good to have for my class.

Twinsie Tuesday : Favorite sports team

I failed this morning! I had this post 50% finished and meant to get it done before work this morning but that didn't happen. My apologies.

Today's theme is favorite sports team. As I mentioned before, I really don't follow sports so it's kind to pick a favorite. Usually when picking a team to root for, I go by the team with the "pretty colors". LOL. Today I could've gone with the Dallas Cowboys but I decided to go for the team that represents my state, Green Bay Packers.

What's your favorite sports team? I look forward to seeing what my Twinsies chose.

Twinsie Tuesday : Least Favorite

Good morning! Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is least favorite polish. It's always hard to pick a least favorite because I usually get rid of a polish that I don't like too much. I ended up choosing a polish that doesn't get much love. This is Wet n Wild Broken Hearted;I kept this in my collection mainly because it's in the pink family. It's also work appropriate, so if I'm ever at a job that doesn't let me do "wild and crazy" then I have something to fall back on.

Nail Challenge Collaborative - Inspired by a Book - 1

November's theme for Nail Challenge Collaborative is inspired by a book. For my first manicure, I was inspired by The Doorbell Rang by Pat Hutchins. I read this to my class last week and did a whole day with cookie activities.

I used Sally Hansen CSM Terracotta and Kleancolor Dark Brown for the cookies. My ring finger is a doorbell, for that I used Sally Hansen Color Foil Liquid Gold, Pure Ice Kiss Me Here and Wet n Wild French White Creme.

Twinsie Tuesday : minimalistic

Happy Tuesday everybody! Today's theme is minimalistic. For some reason, I thought it was more complicated than it actually is but Amber explained to me that it's something really simple. So I pulled out elf Desert Haze, a gold glitter and voila! This is about as simple as it gets.

Nail Challenge Collaborative : Stripes ( 3)

I keep failing on getting these posts up in time. I promise to try harder for November.
Here's my 3rd stripe design for October. I was going for something Halloweeny but not too much.
