Nail Challenge Collaborative: Tea Party ( 4)

My last tea party nail design is inspired by the Mad Hatter because when I think tea party,  I think of him.

Nail Challenge Collaborative (3)

My 3rd tea party nail design is inspired by pearls and bows. I imagine it's what a little girl would wear to a fun tea party.

Twinsie Tuesday: sideways French

Happy Tuesday! Today's theme is sideways French. After searching Google for the "proper way" to do this style, I figured I wouldn't nail it because it reminds me of a sideways ruffian and I fail at ruffians. But with all TT prompts, we should attempt something. I then decided to pair this style with the last prompt for the #busygirlnails challenge which is inspired by summer. So here is my sideways French inspired by Summer... These colors just POP against the white. And special thanks to fellow Twinsie Amanda for giving me these summer colors.

From pointer to pinky I'm wearing Salon Perfect Fired up Fuschia, Haute Pink, Traffic Cone, and Summer Escape. The white is Sugar Cube.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies to see their take on Sideways French...

Twinsie Tuesday : Classic

Hey everyone,  happy Tuesday!!! Today's theme is classic. When I think "classic" I typically think of red nails or French tip. But classic also makes me think simple and French Tip isn't so simple it's more formal IMO. I went with red nails and in classic ChiChi fashion I went with a Disney inspired polish. I'm wearing two coats of OPI The Color of Minnie.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies for their classic nails.

Nail Challenge Collaborative: Tea Party ( 2 )

My second tea party design is inspired by Mad Tea Party ride at Disney. I based my design off of this tutorial on the Disney blog. It's not an exact match but I like how it turned out. I used two polishes I received in my birthday package from Amanda @ Amandalandish.

Twinsie Tuesday : Inspired by a book

Happy Tuesday everyone! How are you? I'm going to jump right into the theme because as soon as I hit schedule on this post, I'm going to go read a book. It just so happens that this week's theme is inspired by a book. I for one love to read, as a kid I'd rather read a book than go outside and play. (I also liked to play with dolls and color.) The only thing about my reading habit is I don't jump on the bandwagon right away. I didn't read my first Harry Potter book until 2009. Although, I did read Twilight while it was "in" but that was after the first movie came out. There's a ton of books I want to read that are "in" right now that I haven't got to read yet. I'm sure I'll hear about some good books from my other Twinsies too. Anyways...all that to say this. I just started read 50 shades of Grey last week. It's one of those ones you want to read it, but you don't really want everyone to know you're reading it. Or at least that's how I am.

So in true 50 shades fashion, I used several shades of grey to complete this week's design. I couldn't do too much since I have work tomorrow and I don't want some kids asking about the design on my nails. So I have a subtle chain like design on my index, several greys on my middle and pinky and a blinged out ring finger. Here's all the greys used for this week's design: Sinful Colors My Turn, Ardoise, China Glaze Immortal,  Pure Ice kiss me here, Sally Hansen Dorien Grey, OPI My signature is DC and Wet n Wild Diamond in the rough

Be sure to check out the other Twinsie's to see their designs inspired by a book.

Nail Challenge Collaborative: Tea Party (1)

Hey everyone! This month's Nail Challenge Collaborative theme is Tea Party. I had one idea that I had no doubt that I wanted to do but I still needed three other ideas.  I got to thinking and decided to my first design based on the print of a tea cup and tea cookies.

For this design, I used OPI Thanks A Windmillion which I received from Bridget at A painted Nail for my birthday, China Glaze Fairy Dust from Casey at Casey Lane Loves Polish, a random white, Sally Hansen Color Foil Liquid Gold and some random elf polishes for the cookies.

Twinsie Tuesday: Favorite Holo Polish

Hello everyone, happy Tuesday! I'm so sorry for missing last week's post. If everything went right, my "makeup" post should have been posted last night. This week's prompt is favorite holo polish; as much as I like holo polish I don't own too many. That made this week's choice of which polish to use rather easy. I chose Color Club Cloud Nine which I received from Anna last month for my birthday. I can say it's a favorite already because I've worn it twice already. I used two coats without base or top coat.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies to see which polish they chose as their favorite holo polish.

OMD2: Days 26-30

I was looking forward to the bridal nails just to do something soft and delicate. I used Sinful Colors Cupids Arrow and WnW French White creme to stamp. I LOVE LOVE how this turned out and wore it for a few days.
I had no clue what to do for the outdoors theme so I went with a sky and birds flying. I used the new Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow (which isn't mellow at all) and Ice Tint. The birds were done with WnW Black Creme and the clouds were done with a random white that was in arms reach.
For my nautical nails I used Sinful Colors Hot Hot heat, China Glaze Up all night and a random white that was in arms reach.
Same colors as above but with a Pure Ice glitter on my pinky.
I used the black and white Sinful Shine polishes.

OMD2: Days 22-25

I've always wanted to try a feather mani. I've been collecting feathers for awhile just never got around to doing it. I don't think this will be my last feather mani, but maybe only on one nail. I used the original Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow.
Negative space was something new for me too, I didn't use too much negative space there's a hint of it. I don't remember the exact polishes used for this design.
I love these grapes I did. Grapes were my favorite doodle to draw when I was younger. Why did I wait so long to put grapes on my nails. It was only fitting that I used Revlon Grape.
In my head I envisioned these roses turning out different but for my first time, I think they came out alright.

OMD2: Days 16-20

On Day 16 the prompt was glitter placement. I used 2 coats of Sinful Colors Real Teal and as my accent a Mickey glitter and some hexagonal glitters.

Day 17 was pretty much a fail but I went with it. It's supposed to be a galaxy. I tried to use different colors (recycled colors from day 16) but it didn't turn out right. So it's abstract galaxy. Yeah, I'm reaching.
Day 18 was pretty easy, a simple dotticure. I can't remember which yellow I used but I wanna say it was Sinful Colors Solar Flux and dotted with with Color Club New Bohemian.
Day 20 chevrons - I tried to recreate the Chevron icon from the gas station. It bought back memories of my childhood, riding to the Chevron gas station with my dad to fill up the car and sneak some french fries.

Twinsie Tuesday Makeup - interlocking dots

Hey everyone! I feel so awful for missing last week's Twinsie Tuesday. It was a busy week besides work and birthday festivities, I had a final to study for and a project to finish for my Child Care profession course. Now the course is over and I have more "me" time.

Sunday I posted my delayed interlocking dots and paired it with the first prompt for #busygirlnails summer challenge where week 1 prompt was neon. I like how this turned out but I wish I had a dotting tool that made bigger dots.

As always be sure to check out the other Twinsies!

OMD2: Days 11-14

Instead of trying to catch up with individual posts for OMD2, I'll group them together. Individual posts were done on Instagram anyways.

Day 11 was rainbows, I've done several rainbow themed manicures so I wanted to do something I haven't done already. I decided to stamp rainbows in rainbow colors. The only 4 polishes I know I used for this was WnW White Creme, Revlon Grape, Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow (new) and China Glaze It's a Trapeze.
Day 12 was 3D and also the day my boyfriend's niece had her daughter. For the occasion, I wore Revlon Girly and Rimmel Wild Orchid. I used some rhinestones I picked up from Dollar Tree.
Day 13 was my first attempt at ikat I used all elf polishes with the exception of white and black.

Day 14 was funky french I did Mickey ears as my French tip and topped it with China Glaze Fairy Dust which I received from Casey for my birthday.

OMD2 Day 10 - Favorite Polish

Day 10 of the OMD2nail challenge is to pick our favorite polish. This is always such a hard task for me because how can you have just one favorite.

I couldn't narrow it down to one so I chose my top 3 - OPI Chic from ears to tail, China Glaze It's a trapeze and Claire's Candy Shop. I tried to take inspiration from Marta at Chit Chat nails and do a skitlette.

OMD2 Day 31 - Your signature style

Hey everyone, this is the end of the OMD2 challenge, I wanted to post saying I successfully made it through the challenge. Unfortunately towards the end I got weighed down with class, work and my birthday that I missed 5 days of the challenge. I plan to makeup those 5 days before August 4. On Instagram I got every day posted on it's proper day, I just didn't get it posted to my blog. Next year, I'll make a better attempt at that.

However, I did get day 31 done on July 31 (and posted to instagram) so that makes me feel a little better. The last prompt of this challenge was your signature style. My signature style is rather simple as it is just pink and glitter.
I'm wearing China Glaze Float On and United.

Nail Challenge Collaborative - Recreate first four designs (4)

What a way to start my first month in a new challenge group by forgetting to post the last prompt. I'm sorry that I didn't get this posted (on my blog) before the end of July.

My last recreation was my first gradient. My gradient skills still need some work but they definitely look better than when I first did it.
