Twinsie Tuesday: Follower Requested Mani

This week's theme is follower requested manicure, my request was from fellow Twinsie Casey on Instagram. She requested I do dots.

The first one I wasn't too thrilled with and my boyfriend said he wanted to scratch them off my nails. I used Elf Wedding Bells as a base and Sinful Colors Summer Peach, Irish Green and Neon Melon.

The second one was more appealing to my eyes. I finally came across the Wet n Wild All Access Beauty collection at Walgreens. It only took me 3 weeks to find it, but I'll save that complaint for another day. I had my boyfriend choose two polishes from the new collection and he chose Beat of a Generation and Trippin on the Boardwalk.

Thank you so much Casey for requesting I do dots. I really should think about doing dots more often. They are a lot of fun, even if they don't come out right the first time. I can't wait to see what everyone else does, be sure to check them out. Have a nice Tuesday.

Ellagee Polish: The Big Cheese and Minnie's Garden

Browsing Instagram one day before work at the end of April, I came across a post featuring a polish with Mickey heads. Turns out there were several polishes with Mickey heads made by Ellagee polish. First chance I had I made my first order from Ellagee. It was hard to narrow down a decision but I decided on The Big Cheese and Minnie's Garden. I also picked up some loose multicolor Mickey heads.

Take part in next week's TT post

Hey everyone, I hope you're having a great weekend. Tuesday's theme is to do a follower requested manicure. I received a few suggestions on Instagram but I wanted to give all my follower's a chance to leave a request. If I have enough, I hope to make this a new challenge series here on my blog. If you have some ideas or suggestions for a manicure email me at chichibee83(at)gmail(dot)com. I'll give credit to whoever's request I end up using. Thanks so much!

Twinsie Tuesday - Past TT Redo

Hey everyone, hope your Tuesday is going well. I have a feeling mine isn't going to be that good because I'm feeling a little under the weather. Today's theme is to pick a past TT theme that we loved/hated or had to miss and redo it. There's so many I'd love to redo but just didn't have time over the busy weekend and I didn't have the energy to sit down and do something "fancy". So I'm redoing textured nails.

I picked up some OPI Liquid Sand polishes at Marshall's on Saturday night. The first one I tried was Got Your number. It's a pretty cerulean blue sand base with holographic glitters. It's quite pretty and was a hit with a few of the two year-olds in my room.

I look forward to seeing what everyone is redoing and hope we get a chance to visit this particular theme again.

Twinsie Tuesday - Bubbles

Hello everyone! It's that time again, Twinsie Tuesday. This week our prompt is bubbles. At the time of sitting down to do this week's challenge, I didn't have a clue of what to do even after my boyfriend suggested Under the Sea bubbles. Now of course, I have tons of nail art ideas - champagne bubbles, soap bubbles, a container of bubbles, the character Bubbles. Maybe I'll have to save some of those ideas for another time. For today though, I used a stamper over an "illusion" of bubbles.

I started with a sheer blue polish from Confetti, then I added Sinful Colors Hottie to the tips. It kinda reminded me of bubbles but for good measure I stamped using Sally Hansen Celb City, it doesn't show up very well though. My accent finger is left over from my rainbow nails I did, I don't have a good excuse except I wasn't ready to take off that glitter bomb with Mickey heads.

And that's it, for this week's Twinsie Tuesday. Be sure to check out the other ladies for some other bubble nails.

Sinful Colors Yellow Out There

Before work this morning I decided to stop at Walgreens to see if they had a summer display for Wet n Wild All access collection,  which is limited edition. Sadly I was disappointed because they did not have nor did they know what I was talking about. :( That's typically my luck with Wet n Wild LE collections.

However, I did spot Sinful Colors' summer display and snagged a few of those although I was tempted to get them all but I stopped myself, this time. There's 3 collections: Simmer Down, Chill Out and Turn up the Heat.

My first to share is Yellow Out There. (I'm not sure which collection it's from.) It's a sheer yellow with tiny holo bar glitters and micro gold glitters. I layered it over Sally Hansen Insta-dri Lightening.

Twinsie Tuesday: Nail appliqués

Hey everyone! I can't believe it's the first Tuesday of May. Today's prompt is simply nail appliques. At first, I wasn't quite sure what appliques meant but I knew that I was going to use Donna Michelle nail polish stickers that I picked up from Dollar Tree and hoped that they fit the bill. My design was pretty easy to choose since all they had at my store was flowers but April showers bring May flowers...

Before I applied the stickers, I went over my nails with a Q-tip dipped in nail polish remover to remove any access oils. I followed all the instructions on the back of the package except cut down the sticker. I didn't have to struggle too much with the application process but given that my nails are curved and these stickers are straight/flat, I had a bit of wrinkling on the sides. It's not too bumpy but I've used other nail stickers that laid down better. I topped my nail stickers with a random top coat because I wash my hands a lot at work and want to avoid having naked nails at work. I'll update later with how long these nail stickers last.
