Disney nail art challenge - A bug's life

This is one Disney movie that I really don't remember at all. However, I am familiar with It's Tough to be a Bug at Animal Kingdom. OF course, I didn't portray anything from the attraction to my nails I went with an adaption of two of the characters. I really need to start writing down the colors I use for my nail art. I know for sure the blue is Sally Hansen Himalayin Blue.

Twinsie Tuesday - Beach Inspired

Hello lovelies! Happy Tuesday to you! This week we're doing beach inspired manis. I was quite literal with my manicure. I saw similar designs on other blogs. (I'm so sorry that I don't remember which blogs exactly to credit. Edit to add, that I remember seeing Chalkboard nails manicure with sand and ocean waves. That's sort of what I went for but as a gradient.) I combined the designs to get my beach inspired manicure. What we have is the beach nails, then a 2 piece bikini and a flip flop and my thumb is supposed to be a beach ball.

Disney nail art challenge - Finding nemo

I loved how these turned out! It doesn't match Nemo exactly but it's obvious what I'm going for.

Disney nail art challenge - Up

Today's Disney nail art challenge is Up. I previously did a Up themed mani but I like how this one turned out. Mr. Fredrickson's face is my favorite nail.

Twinsie Tuesday - Textured polish

Good Morning! I do not have a Twinsie post to share today because I do not own a textured polish. However be sure to check out the other blogs to see some fabulous textured manicures.

Tastykake Kandy Bar Kakes

I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Kandy Bar Kakes are the best of both worlds. Light and fluffy chocolate enrobed cakes come in a unique kandy bar shape with a delicious créme filling made with your favorite candy flavors. Available in S'mores, Peppermint, and Peanut Butter flavor. Available at grocery and convenience stores across America.

This was another product that I was really looking forward to trying out. Once I got my box, I dove right in and attempted to tear it up. But my boyfriend got it away from me and I had to chase him for it. In the end, I ended up sharing it with my boyfriend and his parents. It was really good and we concluded it would taste yummy with a cup of coffee. I didn't think I would be able to purchase Kandy Bar Kakes anywhere near me but I found it at a grocery store where they had all the flavors. We already bought a 2nd box! We've only tried the S'mores flavor but I'm looking forward to trying the peanut butter. Bonus! We were out driving this weekend and saw an actual Tastykake store!! So I'm sure I'll be able to find them there if the grocery store runs out. ;) Be sure to check out the website to see if there is a store near you. http://www.tastykake.com/

Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+

I received this product complimentary  from Influenster for testing purposes.

I received the Rough Rubber Paste in my spring vox box. I didn't think I would get much use out of ot because I don't neccesarily need texture for my frizzy hair but it was actually perfect for maintaining my baby hairs. What worked for me was to wet my hair, slick it back (on the sides) with a brush and then apply the paste and go over with the brush again. Boy was I surprised that at the end of the day, my hair was still in place.

Here's what Influenster has to say about the product.
Benefits:
Innovative rubber consistency provides you with outstanding texturizing effects
Versatile, moldable texture
Separates, defines and shapes as you wish
No shine, subtle matte effect
Strong style control for thick hair, but not overburdening for fine hair

Ingredients:

Innovative microsponge technology to keep the hair moldable at any time

Application:

Take a small amount and rub it between the palm of your hands
Apply it on dry or damp hair and work it throughout the hair
Roughen up your style as you wish
Countrol Level 3/1.69 fl.oz

The Rough Rubber Paste worked better for my boyfriends hair. It actually gave him textured but wasn't overly crisp. It's versatile for both of us to use it. I like the unique packaging and the feel of the paste, it's kind of bouncy.

Take a look at the site, they offer tons of products. http://www.schwarzkopf-professionalusa.com/

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

I received this product complimentary through Influenster for testing.

I was excited to try out these nails. They're easy to apply. It took less than 30 mins to sort out and apply the nails. They don't feel awkward on my hands at all. Bonus, boyfriend likes them because they're good for tickles. ;)

The package says they last a whole week but I'm not sure if I'll last that long. So far it's been a day and they've held up through normal tasks like washing dishes as well.as unpacking boxes.

Be sure to check out the imPRESS site http://impressmanicure.com/

Here's what Influenster had to say about imPRESS nails:
Introducing imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails, the revolutionary way to apply polish! Featuring advanced nail technology, you can get a salon-perfect manicure in seconds – simply peel off, press on, and you're done. There's no drying, a killer shine and a manicure that lasts up to a week! And, imPRESS is so easy to remove, you can change it up to match your mood as often as you want. Check out all colors and patterns, including trendy brights, classic darks and animal prints. With imPRESS, your nails will always be your best accessory. imPress Manicure retails for $5.99 for colors and $7.99 for patterns, and is available at CVS, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, KMart, Walgreens, Walmart and more. For a full list of online and in-store retailers, visit imPressManicure.com, where you can download an exclusive coupon and virtually try on all the colors and patterns!
I'll keep you updated with how they last. Thank you Influenster and Broadway nails for letting me test out this product.

June 17Edit to add: I took the press-on nails off last night. They lasted me 5 whole days. The only reason I took them off was because my hair started to get caught and that only started to happen on the 5th day. The shine lasted the whole time. They are easy to remove and did not leave my nails brittle. I was pleasantly surprised with this outcome.

Overall, I would definitely look into purchasing imPRESS press-on manicure nails once I'm able to do some shopping.

Disney Nail Art Challenge - wall-e

Uploading from my phone again. Today's theme is Wall-e. I attempted to do an Eva mani.
Only after I took this design off did I realize I did the eyes wrong.

Twinsie Tuesday - Marching Orders

Good morning lovelies! This week we are welcoming 3 new twinsies to the group! Welcome Amber, Roisin and Heather. Although Heather won't be posting today.

Today's theme is Marching Orders. We were paired off and giving our partner a specific theme to do. Meredith gave me my marching order and asked for me to do a mani representing my new locale. Right away I knew what I wanted to do to represent Florida, just didn't know how to tackle it. In the end, I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. Here is what I hope looks like palm trees.

And what would my Florida manicure be without oranges and a hidden Mickey?
I can't wait to see what marching orders everyone else was given and how Lakeisha interpreted the theme I gave her.

Influenster Spring VoxBox

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

It's been awhile since I qualified for an Influenster VoxBox so when I was notified that I would receive the Spring VoxBox I was ecstatic! Only problem was that I was moving from one state to another. Luckily my box made it's way to me in my new state and now I finally got the chance to share what I got.

Tastykake Kandy Bar Kakes, S'mores. This was gone almost as soon as I opened the box. I will be uploading a Youtube video of this. It was really delicious and I'm sure as soon as I see it in stores I will be buying a few boxes. This retails at $4.49 per box and is available in S'mores, Peppermint and Peanut Butter. As you can see in the picture below, my boyfriend tried to keep it away from me so I'm sure he'll want some of his own.
Secret Outleast Clear Gel Antiperspirant/Deodorant "leaves fewer white marks on clothes compared to the next leading invisible solid. With 48 hour odor and wetness protection, it's a great deal at it's retail price of $4.59."
"OSiS Rough Rubber is a paste with an innovative rubber consistency that separates and defines, while leaving a subtle matte finish". This retails at $20.00.
"NYC New York Color Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm delivers color, shine and moisture in one single swipe! The unique apple-shapped cores is filled with Shea Butter, Jooba Oil, Vitamin E and Avocado Oil to give lips a healthy, irresistible look." This retails at $2.99.
Last but certainly not least and probably what I'm most anxious to try, Broadway nails imPRESS press-on Manicure. This product "features advanced nail technology, so you can get a salon-perfect Manicure in seconds - simply peel off, press on and you're done. There's no drying, a killer shine and a manicure that lasts up to a week!" imPress press-on manicure retails at $5.99-7.99.
Please come back for individual posts on all products. Thank you Influenster for letting me test out these products.

Disney nail art challenge - toy story

I originally had to upload from my phone but edited to add a formal pic from my camera.

I'm very excited about today's post. Here is my Toy Story mani. Can you tell what each nail represents? From index to pinky: Woody, Buzz, aliens  and the walls in Andy's room.

Disney nail art challenge- Tiana

This post is two days late :( but late is better than never, right? So from the start of this challenge I knew which color I wanted to use for this mani, just didn't know what I wanted to do. I used Sinful Colors Olympia, I thought it would be the best color to represent Tiana's dress. Then I attempted to make her crown using by Beau Khaki and a WnW gold, the lips are Sugar n Spice.

The thumb is a fail, I tried to using an actual stamper but it didn't show, bummer.

Twinsie Tuesday - Inspired by another blogger

Good morning everyone! How are you this fine Tuesday morning? This week we are doing a mani inspired by another blogger. I decided to look to Sarah of Chalkboard nails for inspiration. I went through her archive to find something that was easy but challenging for me. I chose her Dorthy nails. I also used WnW Rockin Rubies but my white was Spoiled Correction Tape and my blues are Sinful Colors Sugar Rush and Sweet nothing.

Disney nail art challenge - Cinderella

Hey everyone! I feel like it's time to jump back into (active) blogging. Things are a little bit more settled so I hope to get at least 3 posts up a week. I'm really sad I missed most of the princess portion of the challenge but I hope to catch up with all the days I missed.

Today's theme is Cinderella! Of course, I had to use Sinful Colors Cinderella. My accent nail is supposed to be a glass slipper. I used WnW Hallucinate and did a french tip with Cinderella. I forgot what I used for the slipper.
