FFF 28 Day Challenge - Day 28

Wow! The last day of the Flip/Flop challenge. It was really fun and pushed me to try new things. Today's post is when we recreate our favorite day. My favorite day was day 10, the fish tail braid. This time I switched up the colors and used some of the Sinful Colors pastels. I used Sweet Tooth, Candy Coated and Sugar Rush.

I had a great time doing this challenge and checking out everyone's post. I look forward to the next challenge. ;)

FFF 28 Day Challenge - Day 27

Day 27 of the challenge! Today's theme is to recreate someone else's mani. I chose to recreate Dipped in Lacquer's Wing nails. I didn't have the exact same polishes but I used colors that were similar. This was my first time attempting wing nails and I just "flew" in and attempted it. My wings need a little work but I think I'll attempt this again.

Sinful Colors Sugar n Spice

Hello hello! Today I have another polish from the Sinful Colors Sugar Rush collection to share. This is two coats of Sugar n Spice, it's a hot pink with subtle shimmer. Although it's a hot pink, it's not as bright as a neon pink.

Twinsie Tuesday - Ruffian/ FFF 28 Day Challenge - Day 26

Happy Tuesday lovely readers! Today I decided to do a double post for Twinsie Tuesday and the Flip Flop February Challenge. Up first is my ruffian for Twinsie Tuesday. The base color is Color Club Berry and Bright and the top color is Color Club Gift of Sparkle.

I don't care for ruffian manicures too much but at least they're easy to do. I wonder what my Twinsies thought of the ruffian ;)

For the FFF challenge, the choice was between a theme I missed or a favorite polish. Since I caught up on all missed challenges, I decided to do my favorite polish at the moment which just happens to be Gift of Sparkle. It's just so GORGEOUS!

FFF 28 Day Challenge - Day 25

I'd like to start today's post off with a special HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout out to my little sister! She doesn't read my blog but it just needs to be said. :)

Today's post is a choice between a YouTube tutorial or a tape manicure. I chose NOT to do a tape manicure because those are rather difficult for me. Instead I followed along with cutepolish and did this argyle nail art. I changed up the colors going back to the color scheme I used often earlier this month. Not quite perfect but I'm content with the final design.

FFF 28 Day Challenge - Day 24

Quick post! I'm still caught up. Here are my rainbow (gradient) nails. The blue and purple didn't show up because my nails are short :(

FFF 28 Day Challenge - Day 23

Day 23 gives the choice between lightning and bows, as much as I love cutesy designs I chose lightning. Growing up in Florida, I saw plenty of lightning storms so this triggers old memories. I was terrified of thunder and lightning. Although lightning doesn't look exactly like this, it's basically how I would draw lightning at school.

FFF 28 Day Challenge - Day "19-22"

Just about caught up with this challenge. I was determined to get this done before the weekend was over. My favorite of this bunch is day 20.

 Day 19 - Outline Nails
Day 20 - Flower Nails

Day 21 - Flame Nails

Day 22 - Mustache Nails

FFF 28 Day Challenge Day "17 and 18"

Day 18 was a choice between delicate print or newspaper, I chose newspaper. Although technically I don't think it wasn't an actual newspaper since the paper was thicker and print was harder to transfer.
Day 19 was a choice between galaxy and rhinestones. I chose a simple galaxy since I don't have rhinestones.

Another look at the challenge that I'm trying to catch up on before the week is over.

Pink Wednesday - Sinful Colors Cotton Candy

Wow, it's been quite sometime since I posted a Pink Wednesday. Today's polish is Sinful Colors Cotton Candy from the Sugar Rush collection. Now it's no surprise that I love pink so when I rave about this polish it may seem a little biased but it's amazing. It's a lovely pastel pink with a slight hint of shimmer, the formula is great too.

FFF 28 Day Challenge - Day "16"

Here's day 16 of the 28 day challenge, for this day I chose animal print. I intended for this to look like fish scales but well it doesn't. I hope to be caught up with this challenge by the end of the week. Hopefully the rest of them aren't a fail like day 16 ;)

Twinsie Tuesday - Dots or Stripes

This week's Twinsie theme is dots or stripes. I opted for dots in 2 "stripes". I used Sinful Colors Candy Coated and then Sugar Rush for the dots.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies, I'm sure they got pretty creative with this week's theme.

FFF 28 Day Challenge - Day "15"

I fell behind on this challenge -_- partly because I didn't want to take off my Valentine's Mani and partly because I had a busy weekend. Nonetheless I plan to get caught up in the next few days. Here's my day 15 with a jelly sandwich. For this jelly sandwich, I cheated a little because I started with a creme polish but the rest is glitter and a jelly. My glitter is Essie Stroke of Brilliance and my jelly is Essie Marshmallow, with the exception of my index which is Sinful Colors Cinderella.
My base is a new release from Sinful Colors Spring collection, Sugar Rush.

Side story, I found out about the new collection Friday morning and was frantic to find it. After my shift, I stopped at Walgreens only to be disappointed. Later that night, after boyfriend and I watched Wreck it Ralph, we stopped by another Walgreens and I was ecstatic because they had it. I found it ironic that the collection was called Sugar Rush because Sugar Rush was also an arcade game in the movie ;)

Anyways, so this is the namesake of the collection and it's a soft pastel blue. My swatch doesn't do it justice at all but it is lovely. Application wasn't too bad, a bit streaky on first stroke but leveled out with second coat. The formula was perfect for me.
Brand: Sinful Colors
Collection: Sugar Rush
Color Name/Number: Sugar Rush/1169
Finish: creme
Number of Coats: 2
Top Coat: no
7 of the 8 shades are brand new, the only re-promote is the yellow which is Unicorn.
I'll have more swatches coming soon.

FFF 28 Day Challenge - Day 14

Today I have two Valentine mani to share today. The first is one inspired by Liquid Jelly. I didn't have the sequins but I thought the red glitters I had would work alright. What do you think? The gold color is OPI Pros and Bronze.

Then the manicure I'm actually wearing for the day is this one inspired by MissJenFabulous. I also used this tutorial as well.

White: Spoiled Correction Tape
Red: China Glaze With Love
Pink: OPI Pink Friday
Glitter: Milani HD, Sally Hansen Cha-Ching and WnW Rockin Rubies

I'll want to try the gradient heart on my thumb again and my lace heart needs a little tweaking but overall I really like how this came out.
