EOTD - LA Colors Sunflower Trio

Hey all, here's another EOTD. I liked how my eyeshadow turned out this morning so I snapped a pic. Since I don't have a new swatch to share tonight/today I figured I'd post this. It's just as good right??

I also used a brown from my NYX Cocacabana trio. It is my favorite shadow to blend out harsh lines. I've seriously used it for a month straight. If I ever get around to making a favorites video, bet that will make an appearance.
It is seriously too hot. I shouldn't complain, I am from Florida after all and I spent some time
living in Puerto Rico but here, I just can't stand it. What make worse is there is no breeze. I said all that to say this...I can vouch for ELF primer. My dollar tree eyeshadow stayed on throughout the entire day. I will definitely be purchasing the ELF primer again. Bet on it.

And one final picture from my camera of my nails I did last night for today.

Mail Time!!!

Pardon the pictures, they are from my phone because my camera was dead. I got a package in the mail today from the lovely Chelsea. She found Pinkerbell for me and also sent me an early birthday present. I couldn't bare waiting a whole month to open the polish, so I opened it today and it was China Glaze White Cap!! I'm so excited!! Thank you so much Chelsea!!!
Now for my current nails, it involves a lot of layering. First I had 3 coats of 10 I pinky Promise topped with 1 coat of essie pink-a-boo. I just wanted something soft and neutral for the day. Then once I got my package in the mail, I wanted to play but didn't know what to do. I ended up sponging on essie lilacism and OPI planks a lot and waited for it to dry. Then I added 1 coat of White Cap. I can't stop staring at it. My nails might be a distraction at work for me tomorrow. hehe

Pink Wednesday Two-toned pink (collage)

I planned ahead for this week's Pink Wednesday post. OPI Step Right Up is on my first two fingers, it took 4 coats to get it even visible. My other two fingers are leftovers from National Pink Day. Then I topped the whole manicure with two coats of Jordana Pink Hearts and surprisingly only ONE heart came out.

Sinful Colors Casablanca

I would expect a polish that is called Casablanca to be white. Silly me I guess. I picked this out and my boyfriend purchased it when I got those two essies earlier this month. Originally this polish is from the Sinful Colors Lonestar collection. This is only one coat as I was using this as underlayer for my TT post.

Twinsie Tuesday: Polish from favorite brand

Hello bonitas! It's Tuesday again and we all know what that means...it's Twinsie Tuesday!!! YAAAAY!!! This week's theme is polish from our favorite brand. It's so hard to pick a favorite brand but I went with the brand that is most affordable for me and has a wide selection. I chose Sinful Colors. Sinful Colors' wide range of variety is what made me start racking up on polishes. Before my collection got out of hand, I would go Walgreens to snag a new color to match an outfit I planned on wearing on a night out. This was the time I would buy one polish at a time. LOL! Although Sinful Colors can be a hit or miss with formula and opaqueness, they are a favorite in my book.

Alright alright, enough chit chat. The polish I chose describes all of us nail polish addicts. This is Sinful Colors Nail Junkie over Casablanca.

Special Happy Birthday shoutout to Cordia!!!

I can't wait to see what my twinsies chose!

How I store my polish collection

Yesterday I was a busy bee...taking inventory and reorganizing my polish drawer. As of right now, it's easier for me to keep my collection in a drawer. In this post there are just the pictures but I recorded a quick overview of my storage (I apologize for the bad editing, I don't have nifty editing software to blur out what I needed to so the whole clip got blurred).

June 23 - National PINK day!!

So it was bought to my attention by a fellow pink loving friend on twitter that June 23 was National PINK day! Look here if you don't believe it. Of course, I painted my nails for the occasion and wore a pink outfit. However, do to a task that kept me busy for the good part of the evening I did not get to post it yesterday. Here's what I wore yesterday!
This is a pink base coat by 4 east cosmetics. It was a part of a manicure set I picked up from Dollar Tree. It wasn't a dream to apply as the polish was somewhat clumpy. The first coat apply streaky. It took 3 coats to get good coverage. It's a pretty color but not one of my favorite polishes to work with. I may end up tossing this out or giving it to Loro's niece to play with. It may work better for little fingers.

Toro Mani

No I did not give my pup a manicure. I did a manicure inspired by my pup. I decided to do it after watching 101 Dalmatians (1996) "with" Toro. I like how it turned out and I guess Toro does too. I used Sally Hansen White on and WnW Ebony Hates Chris.

Twinsie Tuesday: Duochrome or metallic polish

It's Tuesday again and we know what that means...it's Twinsie Tuesday!!! This week's theme is a metallic or duochrome polish. Since I couldn't make up my mind and I recently posted a popular duochrome I figured I would post a metallic polish. Especially since I don't use metallics often. Then I did an accent with a duochrome.
My metallic polish is ICE Sheer Lilac. This polish can best be described as a blurple with a silver tint. It applied nicely and I could have stopped at one coat if I was short on time. My accent nail is Sinful Colors Bikini topped with a sheer duochrome perfect for layering, Sally Hansen Lavender Envy. I picked Lavender Envy up at Dollar Tree some time ago and it's been sitting in my untried box. She appears more pink than lavender in the bottle and has a blue tint although over Bikini it looks green.

Be sure to check out my twinsies to see their picks for this week!

Makeup Monday - Blue

A Brilliant Brunette came up with a fun interactive way for her readers to share their love of makeup. The answer is Makeup Monday! To find out the details, check out her blog. Today's theme is BLUE! I didn't plan on participating in Makeup Monday but I tweeted her saying I just happened to be wearing blue eyeliner today. She replied back saying that works and asked for a picture. Now I'm sharing my eye look here on my blog.

The first two pictures in the collage were taken this morning because I planned on posting them eventually. The other two pictures were taken this afternoon. Is it obvious I'm not a morning person?

Sinful Colors I Love You and OPI Nothin' Mousie 'bout It

I think the only reason I bought Sinful Colors I Love You, was because of the name. I know for sure I wore it for my 2 year anniversary with Loro and it matched my outfit. This is a gorgeous purple jelly that has tons of purple glitter. Now it takes some work to build the color up but since my polish has thickened over time, it only took two coats. My pictures aren't doing it justice at all but believe me, it's pretty. Wacky Laki has some good pictures of this polish.   The only thing that bothers me about this polish is that when I hold it at a certain angle, I see a flash of green-yellow but that does not portray on the nails.

I added OPI Nothin' Mousie 'bout It because it is my favorite glitter top coat at the moment (with or without the hearts).

Here's a pic I snapped when doing my right hand (in front of the computer) you can barely see the color shift.

thanks boyfriend for helping me take this picture

Essie Camera and OPI Nothin' Mousie 'bout it

Remember when I did a sneak peek at my nails. I asked my readers to guess what I was wearing. Tara from Polishy of Truth guessed my top polish correctly! Yay Tara!!! My top polish was OPI Nothin' Mousie 'bout it. The bottom polish, which was a random gift from my boyfriend, was Essie Camera. Camera is a neon coral pink jelly-like polish and I love it!

I used Nothin' Mousie 'bout it as my accent nails. This beauty is a pink based glitter-jelly top coat with flecks of orange and purple and it also has pink hearts throughout. NMBI over Camera gives it a subtle glow.

I eventually want to use NMBI on its own but I'm sure it will be very sheer but pretty.
