Nail Junkie
I remember looking at this color at Walgreens and I had thought I purchased it. When my sister sent me a list of the polish that I left at my dad's I was shocked it wasn't on the list. I know I wanted to add it to my collection because I figured it would be perfect for an accent nail or to layer over any of the teal shades I owned. So once I had $2 to spare, I headed to Wags and picked it up.
It's a gorgeous teal jelly with chunky gold glitters and small blue sparkles. The formula is thick and gooey, making it a little difficult to work with. I used 2 coats to get the desired effect I wanted under the crackle I was going to use. Overall, it's a gorgeous color and would be perfect for an accent nail but I don't see myself purchasing it again because I'm pretty sure it will last me a LONG time.
current nail polish - Trinity Junkie
The Cherimoya polish has a REALLY strong odor to it, like enough to knock you out. Well not literally but it is intense. The brush is short and thick and I prefer this brush over the SH crackle brush. The polish itself isn't too runny. It dries fast and has a matte finish (although I added a top coat) I would purchase another bottle from this brand because they have such a wide variety and it's in my price range.

day 2
Now I'm not one for "edgy" looks. I either go for neutral looks or bright looks (yes completely opposite I know, it just depends on where I'm going or how I'm feeling) but I have never been one to pull off a "edgy" look, so this is what I consider edgy.

Birthday Nails!!
I tried to get "creative" with my nails but it was my first attempt at doing (so-called) nail art. I used one of my FAVORITE pinks, Sinful Colors Cream Pink (2 coats). On my accent nail, I used the LA COLORS: Color Craze (something) purple & a coat of the Sally Hansen Rock Candy over it. For the nail art (can you tell it's supposed to be a cupcake?) I used LA Colors Nail Deco in White with Rock Candy over it.

What's on my nails...
The crackle polish was a gift from my boyfriend. My review is the same as with the blue crackle in the previous post. I couldn't cover the nail with one swipe of the brush but had no problem with layering the polish because I did side by side swipes.
I don't have any other crackle polish to compare the Sally Hansen Crackle Topcoat to but after using both SH Distressed Denim & this one I can say I would purchase another bottle. Although after reading other reviews I don't think I would purchase the gold SH crackle.
Do you own any of the Sally Hansen Crackle Topcoats? What's your favorite crackle polish?
should i be concerned?

(Tag) Kreativ Blogger Award - 10 facts
Here's 10 facts you may or may not know about me.
1.) I will be receiving my associates degree in January for Early Childhood Education. My next educational goal is to receive my bachelors degree to become a kindergarten teacher.
2.) Growing up, I wanted to be a pediatric nurse or NICU nurse. However, I realized that I don't have the stomach to give children and babies shots.
3.) My first time flying was in 2009 when I went to Puerto Rico. Before that I was terrified of flying. Now it doesn't bother me (as much) I'm only nervous during take-off and landing.
4.) My favorite dishes to cook are pasta dishes. The possibilities are endless.
5.) I was born two months early on my father's birthday.
6.) I didn't get my drivers license until I was 19 in 2003 (although I had my permit since 2001) because I was nervous to drive and terrified to drive on I-4. Even once I got my license I only took back routes and side roads for the longest.
7.) I only wore dresses growing up becausem my mother forbid me to where pants due to our "church rules" and religion. Little did she know, that once in middle school I would change into jeans that my friends gave me to wear. I hated feeling like an oddball.
8.) I was a clumsy child, my name could have been "walks into walls" but I became more "graceful" after beginning dance classes my freshman year. (Although at times, I still can be clumsy.)
9.) My biggest regret was moving out when my dad remarried.
10.) Yesterday, a "dream" came true for me. One that I have had for about 13 years. I got a response from Justin Timberlake. Yea, so maybe it was only a one word response and on twitter but hey, I guess some dreams really do come true. lol

Well I've been thinking...
I'm pretty sure I want to do this challenge but I already know for sure that I won't post consecutively 20 days straight. Also let it be noted that I hardly ever wear a full face of makeup (which is why I usually steer clear of challenges like this). When I wear makeup I usually just do my eyes & lips. I stay away from face makeup because 1) I haven't been matched for my correct shade, 2) foundations I have tried in the past break me out and 3) I don't have much to coverup because my skin tone is pretty even and don't have many blemishes. Although if I do have to hide blemishes or dark circles I use a concealer. So with all that being said, when I post my response to the challenge, I probably won't be wearing face makeup.
Here's the challenge:
Day 1: Simple, Natural Look (you should look like you’re not even wearing makeup!)
Day 2: Edgy Look
Day 3: Any look with a bold lipstick
Day 4: Doll-like Look
Day 5: Makeup for Holidays
Day 6: Makeup that makes you look like an animal
Day 7: Makeup inspired by a famous celebrity
Day 8: Makeup that represents a culture other than your own
Day 9: Makeup inspired by a flower
Day 10: Makeup for a night out at the club
Day 11: Any look with glittery eye shadow
Day 12: Makeup inspired by a Disney princess
Day 13: Makeup that makes you look like the opposite sex
Day 14: Any look with lots (and I mean LOTS) of mascara
Day 15: Sexy Smokey Eye Look
Day 16: Makeup that shows off your eye color
Day 17: Edgy Eyeliner Look
Day 18: Makeup that shows off your bone structure
Day 19: Dinner Dance/Prom Makeup
Day 20: No Makeup At All (to remind yourself that you are beautiful, even without makeup)
I'll probably post tomorrow with my first response.

Sally Hansen Crackle Topcoat
The first color I decided to use was Distressed Denim over Island Smoothie.
The brush is long and skinny, so it took multiple strokes to coat nail. Although I did not layer the crackle polish itself, I did side-by-side strokes. It's the first crackle polish I used so I don't have anything to compare it to so overall I was impressed with the effect. I just wish the brush was shorter and thicker.

attempting to save my nail
I cracked my thumb nail and I didn't want to cut it because it would be too short (and painful) I remember reading a post (or seeing a video) from sayanythingbr00ke about a technique she found to save your nail. That technique was using a tea bag to repair (and save) the nail. At first, it seemed like a good soloution. It held up for about 2 days, then started peeling off. I'm not sure what I did wrong or if it's normal. It is easier (and less messy)than using super glue (which I ended up using afterwards). I would probably use this technique again if I didn't have super glue. The above picture is before applying clear nail polish. After a few coats of clear polish, the tea bag somewhat blended in with my nail.
Jewel Tone

My accent color is LA COLORS Color Craze Jewel Tone.

notw
I was a disappointed in the display because they were not organized and half of the bottles were missing rings. My bottle did come with a ring but it is not pictured. I think the main reason I was upset about the display was because 1) I worked in retail & know things should be in a certain order but its nearly impossible to keep a display "store-ready" and 2) it looked nothing like any of the displays I've seen posted on other blogs. So far, I picked up two other colors from this collection and I'll post those when I use them.
(This polish was received as a early birthday present.)
Have you got any of the colors from the Beverly Hills Collection? Was your display "store-ready"? Am I the only one who gets upset if the display isn't pretty?
