Last time shopping for awhile :/

Yesterday i went for a pink and blue look. I was extremly frustrated that my blending doesnt coming out how i want, part of it may be because i dont have the right tools which is why i made up my mind to head to the store after our errands and pick up some brushes because I dont want to wait any longer.


Much to my dismay, when we headed out for our Saturday errands our car wouldnt start. It was either because of the control module or it was too cold. (The weather has been freezing since Jan 6. I wish i was still enjoying the Florida Winters.)


Much later, we finally headed to Walgreens. DulceCandy87 has talked about the Ecotools 6 piecebrush set from Walgreens, she said she adores it so i checked it out and OMG its so soft. I finally got some real brushes that are in my budget. I was also looking for Loreal DeCrease but did not see it, so i guess it'll be awhile before im able to pick that up. Then I got 2 eyeshadows (also in my budget, one of which was because i wanted to do Fafinettex3's watermelon look and i didnt have the right shade of green.) Some Neiva Moisturizer- travel size, 2 nail polishes and a brow grooming kit that was on sale for $2.19. I should've stopped at the brush set...but since i dont know when the next time i'll be able to pick up any makeup i took advantage. Now i'll see if the brushes make it a better or if i have to splurge when i get my unemployment checks (*crossing fingers i'll actually get it*) We shall see. Well im off to watch some videos. L8R!

So i got laid off today :(

Cant say im surprised. I've had like 15 hours since the week before christmas. And surpringly thats how my new "obsession/hobby" with makeup began. I stayed up late watching YT and came across Fafinettex3 and got hooked. I wanted to try some new looks and get a little collection of my own (starting w/drugstore). Sadly the beginning of my makeup collection was over before it ever began. But as my boyfriend pointed out, if i get a fat unemployment check after i put away some for rent and whatnot i can go get the real stuff. (YAY) So we'll see what happens with that. As far as continuing my "obsession/hobby" I'll have plenty more time working on my looks. =)

I cant wait any longer...

Okay so as I watch more and more videos on YT and i try some looks out on my own (using what i have available to me, cause right now i dont have enough money to get MAC...hour cuts arent fun) I've decided that I'm really gonna have to get some brushes cause my lil crappy brushes i have arent cutting it. I also want the costal scents 88 palette. But the brushes...those are a definite MUST. I wonder, could i get good brushes at Target or Wal-Mart? Just to start out? What brushes are a must to do eyeshadows?

I might not be good at it but im having fun...

My 1st attempt

My first attempt at trying something different. Can u tell i totally botched up my liquid eyeliner? It can only get better right? I intended for it Mommagee's Carolina Panters but i was going off memory and i used wrong colors. I'll try it again another day. Practice makes perfect.

My Makeup Collection

Before i discovered the other side of makeup my collection included mostly eyeliners.




I dont have MAC just yet but i got to start out small. I picked up this giftset from Walgreens yesterday for $9.88.






Then today i went to Wally World to look for a base for my eyeshadow. I picked up the Maybelline Cover Stick Concealer in White. (I was orignally looking for Loreal De-Crease Eyeshadow Base but could not find it and i had to go find my boyfriend before he got antsy.) Then I came across a Maybelline Eye Kit for $9.98. It had Expert Wear Duo Shadow (Grey Matters), Ultra Liner Waterproof Eyeliner, Colossal Volum Express Mascara and Expert Eyes Make Up Remover. I figured that was a good deal for all that so i grabbed it.

My 1st entry...

Alright so this is the beginning. I recently discovered some make-up gurus youtube. I started to a youtube account only for make-up how tos. A new window has opened up for me and because of them I've been inspired to try new looks. I decided to start this blog to post my pictures of looks I will try. (There is no way im gonna post a video...im too shy for that)

Now its not like im a total newbie to makeup. Before i discovered the make-up gurus I only used eyeliners, a little eyeshadow and mascara. On occasion I loved trying to match my eyeshadow or eyeliner but nothing to drastic. But now i want to try more. With this blog i want to be able to look back at my makeup journey.
